Re: What is your favorite expansion pack?
I like all of them for different reasons but I think my answer might be Open for Business.

I started playing TS2 again some months ago, after getting the Ultimate Collection. The problem is that I forgot to adjust the options, so the first pictures I took of my sims were very low quality. I only noticed this after I'd played a bit and wanted to post here about my progress. I'm wondering i...

Re: Unlocking the Congrats Interaction?
Based on what I remember, it's not just good sims who can do that (though I think that having evil traits prevents that interaction, I'm not sure) but it only comes up when something special happens. Has anything important happened to the sims your sim wants to congratulate? It comes up when they've...

Re: Elder Play Styles
I made the old folks from the Viejo household befriend all the neighborhood ladies and start a crafting club. (I summon the members via shrub for a few hours on weekends.) It helps the adults network without me having to boot up a community lot, gives me something to look forward to in the rotation...

Re: Gender Stereotypes in the Sims 2
I agree, although other than NPCs, I think you get a lot of freedom in deciding what your Sims' lives are going to be like and mods always add a lot of options. I think that TS3 is better about gender roles and NPCs, because for example, when you call for a nanny/babysitter, it's always a teenager a...

Re: TS2 to TS4
I'll keep playing TS2 right now. I like 3 as well, depending on which features I feel like playing with. The problem with 4 is that I see a lot of similarities between it and 2 but without some of the features. Some Maxis games have been unplayable during the first months and even though I didn't pl...

Re: Sims 2 Ultimate Collection
I think I deleted my Origin account when I got rid of Sims 3, my laptop never had it installed so I couldn't get it if I wanted to. That's not true, don't worry. If you no longer have Origin on your computer, you can download it for free from EA's site. If you deleted your old account, you can just...

I love the little spoiler and I'm really looking forward to your next update about the Pleasants. :bounce: By the way, when you talk about chance cards, are these chance cards you've been getting from a specific challenge or site? I'd like to make what I'm doing with some families more dependent on...

Do you have to have Island Paradise in order to use Sunlit Tides? I'm thinking about getting another world, but I don't really know which are compatible with which expansion packs, if you know what I mean. To the best of my knowledge, you don't need any expansion packs for it to work and it was rel...

If you don't mind me asking, could you tell me which set you've gotten or recommend any that work well? I keep finding non-geneticized sets, and geneticized sets that I don't know if they work. I'd love to have more skin tones in my game. No problem! I'm currently using Aquilegia's " You Are W...

Re: WCIF Athletic Top
I remember seeing that name, but it was classified as jewelry so I didn't think it was the one. Thanks! It was brought in through the damn sims I downloaded to berrify my OWBC. Thanks for taking the time to find this. I was so irritated last night because I own just about everything in the store an...

Re: My sim has a "clone"!
Do not Boolprop-Delete him! Do not do that!! That will seriously mess up your game!!!!! If you want to remove him from the neighborhood, move him in with someone and make him go into the SimBin. That sounds like the safest way He's technically in the SimBin, I assume, since I've searched and there ...

Re: New Site Suggestions
Could we have a "general Sims chat" subforum? I know we have "chat" subforums for TS2 and TS3, and a discussion subforum for TS4. I think it would be neat to have a general Sims one, though, so we could discuss things that are general and not specific to any one game. For example...

Re: Old Save File + New Install = Glitches?
You could always try the Tombstone of L+D to get the gravestone back, I assume. This might be a long shot as I don't know if this is an issue in TS2, but when you last saved that game, did you have all the packs and updated patches like The Ultimate Collection has? I know some non-Sims games sometim...

Re: My sim has a "clone"!
First - Back up your neighborhood. It does sound like you have two different sims here...killing one off might do the trick. And if they're not two different sims, you have the back up I'm pretty sure they're different Sims, because when I play with the family in question, the "clone" Sim...

My sim has a "clone"!
I'm having some trouble with my game. :eyebrow: I downloaded "cleaned up" versions of some the Sims that come with the game, so I could add them to a new town. Unfortunately, it seems like something went wrong because there's a duplicate of one of my sims (Sanjay Ramaswami). I only discove...

Re: CC needed for Sims 2
Have you checked mod the sims? They have a ton of houses, and you can filter results based on things like number of rooms, price range, and CC/expansion use (although I'm betting that won't be a problem, with the UC :P) D'oh! I hadn't noticed there was a feature to filter the results based on those...
