I believe people on tumblr have confirmed that the game is fully patched for all EPs. I've noticed that the bug I was experiencing with some of the free time interactions in my physical copy of the game have been fixed.

A little warning to people with unstable internet or people trying to download/upload big hunches of data during Ts2
Don't!

I tried to download Mass Effect while loading up Sims 2 Ultimate and the whole start up took sooo long. But, funnily, everything was super speedy after I stopped the download...

A little bit of unstable internet might be fine; my download simply paused whenever my internet decided to disconnect, but definitely don't download a bunch of things while you are downloading the ultimate collection. I made that mistake...

That's good to know, thanks!

The Santa outfits were in CAS, which I'm guessing means the Holiday pack was included as well, which I didn't expect.

I take it SimPE should function as normal with it?

SimPE works with this. I was just extracting sims with it before. It's great :)

When I finish up my current TS3 legacies, I'm gonna head on over to TS2 and start a good ol' RKC.

Hopefully, I'll actually finish the damn thing this time.

I hate Windows 8 :( the game runs smoothly but crashes loads, even when using Windows XP Service Pack 3

Definitely downloading this when I get home! I've got all the EPs, but not all of the SPs and really want to have the game complete. :)

Two questions: can we choose what to download? Like what if I don't want everything? Also, how do the games run on a Mac laptop?

The download installs the entire collection at once, I don't think it's possible to only install certain ep/sps. I don't believe it runs on macs, either.

Ok, how do you get SImPe to work with this thing?

Simpe detects the save files, but not the games itself. makes recolouring impossible :(
Mine can't detect the basegame or EP2 or 3 or 4....all I get is the Holiday Stuff pack.

I just started up my SimPE and everything's fine, so I'm not sure what's causing the problems.

Just to get it all straight ('cause I'm super anxious when it comes to deinstalling and stuff): you have to deinstall all your games, than download + install the ultimate collection, and put back your entire back up, and everything will work fine? :)

I'm downloading it at the moment, but it is slow. Only 4% in about 40 minutes. I think the people on the floor above me are using a bit too much of our shared internet connection.

mandarine wrote:Yeah, I just tried out the Ultimate edition and I still have blocky water and 800x600 resolution...I mean, yeah, that game came out 10 years ago. And EA cancels tech support in about a week. Why the hell won't they update their own configs?!! It's not that hard, especially if you're the forkin' programmer of the game @@
And anyone else having graphical problems: Head on over to this site and you can update your graphic rules to incorporate your newer and unrecognised card so that you can run TS2 with nice graphics.

I had the double deluxe on origin + some of the sps that I didn't get physical copies of so I got my copy of the ultimate collection! :) Apparently it runs better on Windows 8 now too! :awesome:

Okay, so I've downloaded and installed the ultimate collection, and everything works (yay!), but now here's my problem: I'm used to playing TS2 in a smaller screen (you know, so you can minimise it and do other stuff in between), but the usual -w method doesn't seem to work for the ultimate collection... Does anyone know how to fix this?

EDIT: never mind, Siem helped me out by sending me this link: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.p ... 5&posted=1 :D
