Yeah I've taken almost all of my CC out and the game is working again. I just have a couple modthesims users' stuff on it and my eye replacement and it seems fine.

Unfortunately I'm going to have to back out of this and allow the next person in line to go ahead and start it from where Abby left off. I've been dealing with some personal things and playing the sims has become very difficult lately. If you guys want to put me at the end of the list, I'm sure I'll be out of this funk by then, but I hate making you guys wait on something that's going to take a really long time for me to finish. Sorry guys

Ooooh, Sam! I forgot to tell you... In my game Melanie got a glitch that stopped her aging. So when you download her, shes going to be a lot younger than she should be.
Shes meant to only be a few days younger than Johan, so you may want to age her up then!

Sammy if you haven't done so already I'd look for an update on your same-sex mod. I had the same exact issue, it was super frustrating, but updating that fixed it. If the mod you use hasn't been updated, look around for another updated after the update (I think that was what I had to do). Sorry if you've already tried that or it doesn't work, I hope something works soon D:
