NaNo 2019: Who's Doing It?

Post by Ani-Mei »

Well it's nearly that time of year again, it's NaNo season! I personally don't like the new forums they have because I still don't like how it bugs out on me and I get auto-logged out every time I want to go to the forums. Anyway, I'm still going to do it even if I can't figure out where to post my new novel and word counts. I'm trying to narrow it down to three ideas to use this year, I didn't do so well with the Steampunk story I wanted to do in the last two years so I figured I'd try something else this year. So what is everyone else going to do this year?

I decided to go ahead and attempt Nano this year. I had to google how to update my word counts. I'm off to an okay start 1088 words so far. My idea is kind've rough. I'm not sure if it's going to carry me to 50k. But we'll see.

I've been watching a lot of summoned to another world anime. So I had an idea for my own tale. With dragons, princes, battle for a throne and druids.

You'll have to come find me again on there, we lost all our Buddies. But I did figure out how to get around the forums, the auto log out bug was fixed and I stumbled across the Word Count button and got that working too.

I noticed that all my buddies were gone. What's your username? I'm Simpony. I posted my name in my local writing group on Facebook, I'm hoping to get brave enough to actually join their weekly meetings. It's so hard being at work right now. I feel like my head is bursting with ideas.

Just went into a write in today and got over 7000 words done. My brain is mush and I'm cuddling with my cat to help me relax. My name on the website is theoddcatlady and my icon is a creepy eye. Working on my horror novel, Camp Golden Oak. I wrote a short horror story about it years ago and now I'm expanding it to a full novel. :D

I'm going to unofficially do it. I don't think I'll do the forums or anything this year, but I am going to use it to try and get back into writing since I've fallen out of the habit.

Last year I did that, it helped take the pressure and I could just write what I wanted.

I woke up early enough to get a little done this morning. I have the evening off so I'm gonna try to get to 4k words today.

I just passed 4300 words and now my brain is stalling out. I don't know what else to do. I've only gotten just over 300 words done since my last update.

I got my words done at least, I found a way to push over that speed bump block. Retrospective POV: a good way to get over it and add words

I had to take a small break when I got stuck yesterday. So I didn't quite make my word goal of 4k. I have today off though. Hoping to get to 6k today.

I've been having so fun switching POV, usually I write in one person's POV. But so this story as three people's POV. It's been helpful to keep from getting stuck. I think I'll still get stuck, but I think i'll get unstuck easier.

I am not going to write today, I went to play Sims 2 instead. I think I'm ahead in words anyway so I can afford the slacker days off right?

Haha, it's good to take a break, it gives you a chance to think and mull over things.

I totally had body shop open while I was writing and was making my characters into sims.
