This will be a “simple” competition to get everyone’s creative juices flowing. Over the course of the competition, everyone will submit images to best represent the prompts given. This competition will run for 10 weeks with a single deadline at the end. Judging will be on the entire body of work submitted.
- Each week one prompt will be posted. For each prompt, submit a single image taken within the Sims game (TS2 or TS3).
- Be creative; what does the prompt make you think? You will only submit one image for each prompt. There will be a total of 10 prompts for a total of 10 images.
- All images must be submitted by the deadline of October 3rd.
- Judging will begin on October 4th and results will be posted by October 10th. Each image will be worth up to 10 points for a max total score possible of 100.
- By setting one deadline and judging on the entire submission of 10 images, participants will have flexibility to work around school, work, and real life. Don’t get too far behind, though.
- Photo editing is allowed but should be kept to a minimum.
- Please, do not add text to the images.
- As an option, you may include a story with the image; however, this will not count in judging.

- Week 10 // Post September 26th // Good versus evil. Do they truly exist? Are there gray areas? Do good people do bad things?
Below are criteria for taking pictures. The judging will be based upon these elements. While quality of the picture itself is dependent on the computer settings, it is still possible to take good pictures. Each element is worth 2 points for a total of 10 points per image.
• Impact is the sense one gets upon viewing an image for the first time.
• Creativity is the original, fresh, and external expression of the imagination.
• Composition is important to the design of an image, bringing all of the visual elements together in concert to express the purpose of the image.
• Presentation affects an image by giving it a finished look. The borders and photo editing used should support and enhance the image, not distract from it.
• Story Telling refers to the image’s ability to evoke imagination.
