When you question yourself if it would be possible to take an architecture class or interior design class to make your sims houses look better...

^ ^ Do it!! :P

When your family asks in passing how your legacy is going, and you whip out your phone and start showing them pictures of the kids, fondly describing their quirks and reminiscing about the time so-and-so learned to drive and so on...

You have three active projects being posted online, and one behind-the-scenes, and you read other people's stories, and get so inspired, you just HAVE to do yet another project.

OY!

Well, I'm having fun, and that's the main thing, right?

When some relative has just had her second baby boy and has said 'we'll have to have another one and hope it's a girl' and you very nearly say 'just eat three watermelons'...

When you use a friend's restroom at their new house and "build" it in your head while enjoying the facilities.

When you go along with your apartment-hunting friend for moral support and almost grab yourself a copy of the apartment floor plans in case you want to build it later. :)

Lol, sales pitch lady was staring at me so I turned the snatch into a casual browse. :drinks:

When someone is telling you a story about something they studied for history and you think "that would be a great plot for one of my neighborhoods."

When you can't remember whether you've seen an object in a physical store or on a custom content site...

When you take a picture of a house you see while walking the dog because you want to try and rebuild it in the game.

When you spend your daydreaming time planning out your sims lives.

When your mind is supposed to be concentrating on work and you let it go on autopilot so you can daydream about what you're doing with your sims when you get home.

Note: back on the finding names thru orders at work, the worst name for a pizza joint I've ever seen is now in line to be somebody's name. Lol.. :lightning:

I do that, except I never remember to write the cool names down.

You spend half a day reading tutorials on how to use simPE. So you can move all your sims with family trees intact.

I... may need those.

- When you decide to make over downtown again even though you only managed to finish three lots last time. Those awful Maxis houses must be destroyed! :snail: (Legacy, what legacy? Why would I ever make progress on a legacy by actually playing my main family?)

- When your primary consideration for getting a new laptop is "Must be able to run the sims 2," and you also think "As soon as I get Ultimate Collection installed I'm going to do a massive CC cleaning and only move over high-quality stuff!"

- When Alternate Sim Surgery becomes the highlight of your life because you can now finally get better geneticized and default replacement skins and put them on the appropriate sims...

So you can remove geneticised CC properly; disable custom foods; edit other people's mods/unlockers/recategorizers to your own taste; try your hand at default replacements; set EP flags on CC clothing (mostly for Maxis recolors); townie-enable and townie-disable; anything else that seems cool

I've spent way too much time looking up re-made maxis lots for my own custom Downtown.

Been there. The previous one was a Windows XP shared by the whole family (this one's MINE!). It kept running into errors with its own core files, urgh.

-You learn of new Windows tricks for the sake of organizing your CC folder (or more accurately, save time on making a list of all the default clothing I have in my game)

When you plan to wake up early just to make time to play the sims and work on updates.

When you reserve one day of the week for sims activities.

When you run the game in windowed mode in order to work on a chapter while loading another family.

When someone asks what the point of playing sims is if it never ends and you give them the look.

When you read a book and the only way you can grasp a character's appearance is by constructing them as a sim. It's super weird that it is just this one character who mentally looks like a sim, but surrounded by human people.
