Sims 4 CC Help

While I'm not new at Sims 4, I'm very new to adding CC and Mods to the game. I've been playing pretty vanilla for a while and I want to start spicing it up. However, I need a bit of help finding things I may want or need.

For example, I know that in vanilla game, it's hard to pass down unnatural hair colors. I've seen some other simmers able to pass it down, but I'm unsure if it's a mod or some other workaround. If someone could explain it?

Also is there any other mods or CC that would be recommended? I'm aware of MC Commander.

Snarky Witch has a mod for the unnatural hairs for toddlers and kids.

I don't play with a lot of mods or CC - but I do have a few:
Wolfdud's Alcohol Mod - makes the bar drinks give the sims a buzz and then a hangover.

There are a few from LittleMsSam that I use:

I also have the gardening mod from Carl's, and two mods that Livvielove made.

From the top of my head, these are pretty much it. I am pretty picky about where the mods and CC come so I don't have much. And you already know about MCCC.

That hair mod is perfect, Teresa!

I'm really picky about my cc, too. My pickiness comes from anxiety and a habitual need to keep my game looking a certain way. If my cc doesn't look natural in the environment, I have a tiny spaz attack.

And as soon as I posted, I remembered that My Sims 3 Blog created one for TS4.
