I'm not a poet, but this small poem sums up exactly how I felt today. My new boyfriend really knows how to bring me out of my own head. I dedicate this to him. If you don't know, the Red Thread is something that shows up in anime as a way to connect two people together, it's said that a red thread will connect two hearts together so that if one is lost, the other person who holds that red thread will always bring you back.

When I feel lost in my own head,
There is a red thread,
One that I know will bring me ahead,
He is always there to soothe my dread,
That being said,
I know he will be the one I wed
Two hearts forever tied with that red thread.

I was going to write something light and fluffy. But the Korean Drama I'm watching chose Valentine's Day OF ALL DAYS to kill off my favourite character, the sweetest and dumbest little cinnamon roll ever, in the most heart-wrenching way possible. So I wrote an angry poem in his honour.
