Re: SimNaWriMo - General Chat Thread
I have no idea, October was fine for me because it wasn't so freaking hot outside. If it's too hot out I can't stay in my room on the computer because I melt. There's September too but again, this year was too hot to be in here.

^ Unfortunately, it's a super busy time of year for people in school. I spent a good chunk of my creative energy this month trying to get my thesis approved; it definitely did not motivate me to keep on top of updating my sims story as well.

April/May is a possibility, but I definitely won't be able to partake or help run the event again then; that's the end of my senior year and my grad show. Not sure if other people will be equally as busy, but if that's what works for everyone else I wouldn't mind sitting out.

Re: SimNaWriMo - General Chat Thread
April and May have been my most prolific updating months for the last few years, most likely because I start getting really productive when I'm putting off cramming for finals, but also because the weather is starting to get nicer (around here anyway) which gets me more inspired. June could even work considering that's early summer for most North American universities, but I don't know what that month is like for real people with jobs. Just thoughts, but I'd participate in any month!

How about January? It seems to be a dead time for most people and it's cool enough to be in my room. February is too short for this I think.

I'm up for any month too. I'm out of school and don't usually have a lot going on.

Re: SimNaWriMo - General Chat Thread
I'm up for mostly any month as well. However, I would say I prefer the cooler months to the summer. Sims can, at least at peak heat, be a pain to play. Not only for me being uncomfortable in the humidity, but my system has a hard time when it gets hot. So, I'd totally be down for January and the like! Also don't mind April or May. It's really the throws of summer I'm concerned with.

I made it to silver, which was my goal, so yay!
I second January, though it may come around a bit too soon after this month... or we could just do it multiple times a year, it has definitely pushed a lot of people to update!

I do love the idea of multiple SimNaWriMos, I feel like Boolprop is more active (for this and other things going on) and I love the encouragement updating.
Maybe February more than January because trying to prep in December might not happen for me

I'm fine with pretty much any month, but like somebodysangel I think January might be a little too close to this one. April/May is probably my first choice, but that might be another time that's hard on university students (my finals and papers were always due in April, and some of my American friends had finals all throughout May).

I like the idea of March! I don't know if there's anything going on, but it's a halfway point between the Jan/Feb and the April/May suggestions. I think Feb/March is a good time, because it's far enough away from Christmas to not have the first few days (or even weeks) upset by leftover Christmas things, but also not quite near enough to May exam time. But, I'm not in school/uni/any kind of education, and really I can do any month.

Re: SimNaWriMo - General Chat Thread
I don't think it should be in the summer, since I think a lot of users want to (or in my case, be pressured to) do other stuff than just sitting in front of a computer (one year I was in Finland during the whole of July).
As a (Swedish) high school student, mid-April and forward (up until late May) is riddled with standardized tests and the like, but March seems pretty relaxed.

Re: SimNaWriMo - General Chat Thread
Yes! I concur with Feb/March as good options!
Fall is just such a busy time and I feel like there's a lot less to do during spring time (for where I am at least it's spring).
Mostly because it's so cold where I live that I can't go out much (shrugs).
I'm happy with whatever, of course. I'd just love to participate in this again!

I'm loving that you all enjoyed it so much that you're eager for another month of it!
Maybe the best option would be to do a poll at one stage - there's always going to be a time that's busy for some and not for others, but hey - we all managed to do okay this month considering it was quite a busy month for a lot of us.
b
Im really apprehensive for doing it again so soon though, for example in February. Im scared if we do it too often it may lose its 'impact' and 'fun'. But if that's what everyone would want then I guess we'd go for it! But, i'll get something sorted to sort a poll out soon.
