It's nearly that time again, NaNo November is coming. What is everyone's plans for this year? Mine will be a sequel to last year's winning novel A Legacy of Silver because ideas are formulating two months early.

So I have a title page now for this year's NaNo:
Spoiler:

It's a sequel to the 2017 novel I finished last year. I have to make some adjustments to last year's novel first but that's why I have two months until NaNo this year.

I haven't even thought of a title for mine yet, but I'm entering! I've got the idea all ready for it, and if I had a title I'd definitely make a cover for it... but...

It's still coming along.

I love your title cover, Ani-Mei!

Yes, I went searching for pictures of towers and I kept coming back to that one. It has the right look and location for my setting, even the guy in it I might have something to write for him. I added some text, enhanced it, and added a filter that I love for it.

I tried to find a picture that wasn't copyrighted or belonged to someone's Deviantart it had the perfect look. I didn't make the picture. I just added the text and the filter to it.

How/Where does one 'enter' NaNoWriMo?

Here:

NaNoWriMo site

You need to make an account on there and it will tell you all you need to know.

Rawla, it's got it's own site, just like Ani said! Instead of being a Sim-oriented one, it's just a novel-oriented month!

So how is everyone going with their preparations for NaNo?

I've been Planning out my plot points and timelines; which is a big change for me, usually I just start writing. But trying to have something more coherent this time around, without having to do major rewrites later.

My laptop is giving me grief so I haven't done anything yet. I hope it doesn't affect my NaNo because I write them on this laptop.

I'm quite the opposite, I'm trying to keep OFF of mine, lest I start too early and burn myself right out. I've also been getting killed with school, so I'm taking my breaks where I can get 'em. I'm so excited for this year's Nano though! :bounce:

Funnily enough my laptop is deciding to behave today, maybe it heard my rage and wanted to make amends.

:shhh: It can HEAR you! ;)

TS4 has been an excellent distraction to keep me from getting carried away with NaNo early.
And also to keep me from doing my homework too... :shifty:

I am getting REALLY excited. My head has the rough outline sketched out, though maybe I should make myself an outline to get out some of my eagerness to just start already.

Spoke too soon. I was writing my 100 Baby Challenge chapter last night and it was still tossing me Not Responding errors. I was using PowerPoint which is part of the Student Office 2010 I have.

An outline is probably a good idea, Livvie. Realising how much stuff I have not figured out yet with my plotlines - and if I don't at least sketch the rough outline, then I'm likely to miss things and/or leave giant plot holes. Like a conscientious girl suddenly not noticing her own pregnancy for four months :duh:

Sucks that you're having issues, Ani-Mei - hopefully Word will be easier on laptop than Sims/PP?

It's all one program, they all do the same thing. I don't know why. I just hope that it saves well enough that I don't lose anything after a particularly intensive writing session.
