The EPIC challenge caught my eye through the Rourkes and it seemed like a fun thing to tackle without getting myself too confused! That happens a lot.

Oh, and it's Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit themed, so each child born is named after one of the characters! Except the founder, though I really should have called her Arwen.

Another update! Turns out that maybe I don't hate Faramir as much as I used to XD

5.2 - It's a Hold Up!

So, I saw that this had been updated, and said to myself, "Didn't I read this EPIC challenge a year or so ago?" I went to the home page you have linked on your first post, where all the chapters are listed, and yep! I did read this about a year or so ago. But it was updated, so I had to read more. But I couldn't remember where I left off, so I just started at the beginning.

And then I discovered - the updates are NOT on the home page! I read all the way through the ones on the home page, and found a comment from me that I had read and enjoyed it. But... where are the updates? It SAYS there's an update!

So, I read through the comments and found TWO updates! WOOOT!

I'm telling you this long story, not to complain, but to point out two things. 1) You really ought to update the home page. Please. and 2) I am invested in this story, enough to go through some extra hoops to read advertised updates. So, please keep them coming! Hopefully, with the lag situation under control, you'll be more likely to play, right? RIGHT!


Lastly, you have inspired me! I want to play an EPIC now. Of course, I have way too many projects going at the same time, so why the heck not, right? Well, maybe I'll just have it as a "play in the background when I'm bored with the others" game, and not post at all until I have a few generations under my belt. But the whole thing looks so awesome. And with only one child per generation, it will certainly be a nice switch from the Baby Boom game, so yeah. I'll do that, between working on my other projects. Sooooo many open projects.
