I'm so close to being done, guys. I actually finished the challenge today; now I just need to edit and post the last few updates. I'm trying to decide if I should stagger them, or just post the final two updates today...

How did I not see this earlier?
Anyway, I've been reading it, and just finished generation 1. It's a fast read, which is good. How did you always manage to get your babies to grow up in the same room where they were born?
I like your building skills. The house is so cute! I almost always just have plain boxes. I would blame it on apocalypses, but the truth is, I'm pretty much a box-builder, anyway. I never really thought about how much a difference two colors on the outside can make, though. I need to try that!
Your sims are really adorable. Do you have default replacements?
OK, I need to take a break for now, but I'll be back to read the rest of it. It's fun!
Edit to add: I finished reading it. It's so fun, and so fast! It still looks quite challenging. I'd go crazy leaving everything to be fixed until noon.
That was a very fun read.

Okay...answering in order...
I use the SimBlender to age up the babies into toddlers right away because I think the baby stage is completely pointless.
That's how they all age up in the same room they're born! Well, most of the time. Sometimes the parents try and put the babies in the cribs before I can age them up.
I've definitely gotten a lot better at building after watching a ton of lilsimsie's Speed Build videos on YouTube. Even though she plays in Sims 4, a lot of the ideas carry over. I also just look at houses around me and try to incorporate stuff that I see in real houses.
I DO use defaults! I have defaults for pretty much everything CAS so that I don't have a ton of custom hairs. I keep forgetting to download defaults for the hats, but that's okay. I'll get around to it eventually.
And yeah, those vampires really took over. That's why I didn't make Polly the final heir, even though she won the poll. I wasn't going to un-vamp her since she liked being a vampire, but I also wasn't going to deal with ANOTHER generation of vampires.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! It was a fun family to play and I'm really glad that I finally finished an OWBC.
