Here is one quick question: For the Hook-A-Duck and Gnome Tombola are the numbers/names random for each day? In other words, is it ever worth picking the same duck or the same gnome on a different day, or would it be pointless to do that because the results would be the same and/or against the rules? I didn't see anything against picking the same numbers or names but wasn't sure how it worked for sure.

Thanks for any info!

Can I ask how long the fete is on for is it the whole of June or until a certain date?

I wondered the same. There are 2 of my 3 boys names as well as my own, and I'd love to have those gnomes. A couple have been moody, but I'm willing to try again so long as there's still a chance. :)

With Hook a Duck
I have a set list ... so each number has a set prize.
so no definitely don't pick the same duck more than once.

GNOME TOMBOLA
I guess I should have explained this one on the main thread!! :cover:
For that I have another list but it is done differently.
the numbered list are of the prizes/no prize ... not set against a particular gnome.
To determine what happens i use THIS SITE to roll the dice which picks the number and prize.
so say the dice lands on one for you 1 = win the gnome .... so he decides to come live with you.

The prizes coming at you are going to be very random ... one member might get a lot of lube stars, another might get a lot of member stars.
Im not watching or counting what im giving out ... the dice decides so basically it is just all luck!!

Each gnome is unique if you have not already noticed .. so only one person will get one gnome.
so anyone asking for a gnome that has gone, you will get a "?? has gone to live with another member. please try again" sign if the number lands on a no prize.
and if the roll lands on a prize, you will still get the prize.
If the gnome has not gone to anyone yet and you get a no prize roll ... you get a grumpy / do not disturb sign
certain names trigger a House or Boolprop gnome - so those gnomes more than one person will have.

so in answer to your question ... I guess it is okay to ask for a gnome more than once ... as something different will happen each time.
But if you ask for a gnome again after you get a they have gone to live with someone sign, you will never get the gnome from it.

Where is this list of gnome names? How do you choose one? I don't get it at all.

Image Thank you for the explotion, ma'am Julie. I won this Santa Claus worker on the Hook-A-Duck game and he looks a bit like the gnomes.

Image I have caught four legitimate stars in the Falling Stars event. I admit that I can't count that well but I only see three on the chart? I'm a star actor so I sure know about stars!

I have a quick question. With Hook a Duck and Gnome Tombola, if we choose a duck or gnome with no prize attached, will we not get a message?

Yes I send a message out.
The hook a duck is up to date
however
the gnome tombola is lagging a little behind ... which i am trying to catch up on.

Oh okay. That’s perfectly understandable since I know everyone is busy with real life on top of running events. I was just making sure it wasn’t a problem on my end, so I was cleaning out my inbox just in case. Thank you for the clarification and all you do!

Is there anyone actually giving out word search words? I'm having a hard time keeping track of all my tickets spent on that and the tombola.

@Jenn, Julie is in charge of that. She's really busy though, so it might be a while. You could do what I do. I keep a note of what ticket i used and where I used it so that I don't use one twice on accident. Just a thought, that way you can keep playing and keep track of your tickets that way. Julie with get to the word search and tombola when she can. :)

Image I saw that humans who already got the star medal still plays the Falling Stars game. Does this mean that they can get two medals if they catch another ten? Sheesh, I'd like me another one. It's like the Oscars. Can't have too few!
