Oh, this is going to be fun. I'm always shocked, again, at how fast needs decay in TS1 after playing other versions for so long. Great job so far with the house and everything!

I like it too. I don't remember you could put signs up to stop animals coming on to your lot.

I don't have sims 1 anymore but maybe one day might get it back. But love seeing the old play system.

Enjoyed chapter 2, very fun. It's amazing how hard it is to keep 8 sims happy in TS1. Love your little thought bubble explantations. :) Off to read the next chapters now.

I 100% got the Picture-in-Picture meddling reference. One of my favorites growing up. :D

I did not even remember how fast NPC's showed up, but you are right, they were really fast. lol Good thing sometimes. This has been so fun to "watch" and relive. :)

I had no idea TS1 had any sort of chance card! That's so cool!!! I know you don't feel like you have accomplished much, but it seems like you were getting lots of promotions and have upgraded a lot of things. That seems like progress to me. :) Nice job!

Oh, I was meaning the way you use their little images in either their speaking or thought bubbles over the sims head to explain what they are thinking or say to you. :) Yes, Scobby-doo was the best.

Woo, great job! That was a fun update, and they are starting to get more and more promotions. It is always amazing how long it takes some jobs to come up. Less of an issue now with TS3 or 4, but TS2 I always laugh at the fact it could take like a week to get into the criminal career. Don't you just start DOING that job? :D

Gotta love the strange sims logic!

What a fun couple of days that seemed like it was. Great job on all the promotions too!
Spoiler:
I'm pretty sure business is referencing "Office Space", I'm not 100% sure which on the police one is for. There are so many it could be. Peggy's could also be a few things.....not sure on that one either?
Also, Mary "Boom Boom"? Really maxis? :rotfl:

Oh, I was trying to guy the references for the promotions you mentioned in the last update.

Great update as always, although less going on this time with the promotions. The house is starting to look really nice though!

Well done for completing your challenge. You said you didn't know what to do with the eight sims can you get them promoted all to their top of the careers maybe. Have them all go with their partners and maybe do a rotational play of the houses. Have families. :)

I don't know why I haven't read this before, but I had a slow afternoon so I just read the whole thing in one sit! And it was hilarious, there's seriously so many things I didn't remembered about the Sims 1! And now I remember how much I usted the "needing friends to get promoted" and the roaches lol! But honestly, all those little things are what make this the game we fell in love years ago!

I really enjoyed these little aventures! It was so sad to get to the end know it was over, the little pool as a partir gift was a sych a sweet detail it kinda made my heart hurt

So yeah, congrats on completing your first challenge! It was really awesome! :applause:

Somehow I missed the end of this set, I ended at day 8 for whatever reason, so I went and caught all up now. All the way up to the end was great. The pairings that got together were fun, even if they did take some ups and downs. :) The roaches were really crazy. Is it because they didn't have flooring? I have no idea what caused it in TS1, just a thought. The house was looking really good by the end, nice job with all the updates you were able to do, and I loved the little parting gift of a pool! Oh hey, grill food is actually different than the rest of the food. :)

Congrats on finishing the challenge, it was fun to read and remember all the little crazy things about TS1. It easy to remember why it got me started on playing all the rest of these for years and years. :D

This was such a fun read! It was quick and interesting and easy to binge!

I love your creative narrative style and how quirky how all of the characters were.

I can't wait to read more from you, either from TS1 or other sequels!

Spoiler:
It's always fun to see more Sims 1 gameplay!

I love that they got money for their house being desperate.

So weird your slobs are the ones cleaning everything up!

Uh oh Aaron. :nono:

At least they have a bed to sleep in at the end of the first week.

Sims 1 was such a funny game. I miss it!

I'm sure Mrs. Crumplebottom has great moves.

They're all movin' on up and the house is getting bigger!

That sink just keeps breaking.

Wow! I didn't know there was a chance of getting shot.

Yay for Peggy/Trip!

So many couples getting together now.

Things have really gone down hill with Peggy and Trip.

This was such a fun challenge to read!

This was such a fun, refreshing read. I miss TS1 so much sometimes, it was hard and fast and hilarious. The Maxis humour hit different. ALSO I'm always amazed at how much more Maxis got away with in the day. How nightclubs always meant literal raves with cages and glowstick candy? Hello??

Thanks for posting! :slaphappy:
