SimNaNo 2020: Coffeehouse [Banners and Results]

Haha, if I already had some of my Latte's played through, I would probably have done two as well, but as it is, II think I'm going to be lucky to maintain playing this one story enough to make it count. We'll see, maybe I'll get ahead enough to want to slow down and play something else, I guess time will tell.

I'm finding it surprisingly easy to get posts written up, now that I have a target in mind. Been super productive this week!

I'm feeling an itch to join, last year was fun and this'd be a good chance to get the Halloween thing closer to done. (Yes, Halloween, and it's closer to July... ) Not sure about what to make my goal yet though. I'm on vacation starting halfway through the month, but it's again been a while since I've written and corona has been a bit rough on my mental health, so it's better not to overdo stuff. Two updates, maybe three? At my pace it's unlikely that I'd get the whole challenge done in a month, especially since I haven't been having the greatest luck in-game. But I do want it out of the way so I could get back to my other challenges.

It'll be nice to keep taking on new challenges on Boolprop and this will be a good way for me to prep for the big challenge in November. With doing SimNaNo, it'll be nice to be back in Terra Nova with Manon and her family too. I'm really looking forward to how this is going to play out through the generations, especially since I already have an ending in mind at the end of the tenth generation. The other fun thing is completing the OWBC for Summer Fete while writing for this!

I've been writing outlines in anticipation for my updates and they look good so far.

There are still things I'm not sure of how to approach, but hopefully I will have time to fine-tune those.

Man I've scrapped my framing device for the first part of my story three times now for a different one. Success here I come It's nice to free myself from my main projects though, I love novel writing months as an excuse for that.

I'm done with the first post for Summer Challenge, so can now work on SimNano prep some more! Slightly concerned about what happens when I run out of backed-up pics, but that's a problem for future-Sam!

Oh, that's good. Because I will most likely be adding a third story to my entry at the last minute, but I want to make sure I have all the posts prepared ahead of time for it, so I've been holding off on officially entering it. Glad you have help this year!

I am so sad! I lost the save for this challenge. I was already quite far along (gen. 3), as I got carried away while playing last week. And suddenly, *poof*... It's all gone. I'm not sure if I should not participate now, start a new challenge for SimNaNo, focus on an existing challenge... I just want to cry about my lost save for now. I was so proud of it!

Oh no that is shame. If you don't want start anew use your B.A.C.C.. If not you can always use a different challenge and start again. It all depends on how you feel and want to do.

Oh no!!! My heart goes out for you! Take your time and whatever you decide know that SimNaNo welcomes you whenever! Even if it's a week into July if you decide you want to pop in with something we can add you right in!

For now, I agree in mourning! That's so much work to lose.

Oh man, that is terrible, Jennifer! I agree with the others that you should take the to mourn the loss... then get back on the horse! Whether that is during SimNano or not, we're here for you. I think everyone has lost something in sims, whether it's a whole save or even just a sim, so we can all relate.

That's horrible. I have lost saves before, or had them get corrupted, and I completely understand the frustration/depression. I hope you decide to still participate, but if you don't, that's okay too. After a disappointment like that I would totally understand! My vote is for starting something new - but I'm a perpetual challenge starter, so I'm probably not the one to ask. LOL.
