Prompt: Photo
Spoiler:
Image
Spoiler:
It peeked through the trees, the small cabin. It had taken months to get it ready, but now they could finally start to make it their home. The snow glistened in the sunlight, causing spots to form in their eyes as they trudged along with the cart carrying all of the possessions they owned. Winter had come early and the snow was deep for this time of year. It was a crisp day and their breath made small ice crystals out of their breath as they struggled along. With each step the cabin grew a little closer and so did their future.

Prompt: My Bags are packed (Random prompts)
Spoiler:
"My bags are packed and I'm ready to go," she thought, then chuckled to herself. The melody of I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane played through her head and she can't help but hum it while she goes over her checklist one last time. She didn't want to have to spend the time, or the money, to replace something carelessly forgotten. Time could very much be of the essence once she landed, and she would not have long to get settled before they had to start the trek out to the village. At least, not if she wished to be able to be of any help.

Prompt: Dialog Prompt: "Close the door."
Spoiler:
"Close the door." The voice came from deep in the dark room. Slowly, quietly he closed the door, the light from the hallway disappearing as the door clicked closed. Now the only light coming into the room was the sliver of moonlight falling softly onto the carpet from the split in the curtains. "Do you have what I need?" the voice broke the silence once again, causing the man to jump slightly.

"Yee..yes" he stammers, holding up the small bag in his hand. Before he could finish lifting the bag a streak of darkness, hard to see due to the darkness already in the room, but somehow darker still, came towards him and he shut his eye, flitching in preparation. When he opened them again the bag was gone and he heard small guttural slurping and sucking coming from the corner of the room. As the man quickly backed out of the room he looked at his hand and saw a small bit of the blood had leaked from the bag, probably when it was taken out of his hand.

Prompt: Dialog Prompt - "It's three in the morning."
Spoiler:
"It's three in the morning." the voice came tired through the phone. "This better be good." But only dead silence answered. It wasn't the kind of silence that sounds like the line is still open, where there is a sense of space, it was like the phone was dead. Growling she hung the phone back up, but then just to check picked it back up and she could hear the dial tone before it even made it all the way to her ear. Hanging the phone up once more she snuggled back down into her pillow. Too bad she wasn't liable to get back to that dream she had been having. Why did dreams always end right as they got good?

Prompt: Random Prompt - I see a red door
Spoiler:
Looking down the hallway I see a red door. In my mind, I ask, why a red door? It seems so out of place in this otherwise totally ordinary hall, in this ordinary house. Was a child's room who love the color red, or was it some sort of specialized room that they decided to indicate in some way? The realtor carried on ahead of me jabbering away about crown molding and the hardwood floors. I wasn't really listening anymore, all my concentration was on that door, what was behind it? I mean in theory it should be empty, but was there any clue to what it used to contain? I approached and opened the door. It didn't even creak, just glided open, and inside was nothing. It was a normal room, painted royal blue. There was a single window that looked out onto the street. That was it, not that I expected much, but I was a bit disappointed as I quietly shut the door and followed the realtor further down the hall.

Prompt: Dialog Prompt - "Why are you helping me?"
Spoiler:
"Why are you helping me?" It came out much harsher than I intended it, but damn it I wanted to know. Why, suddenly, now was she there, claiming to want to help. What about all those months I asked for it and the answer was always "some other time?" She threw a look back over her shoulder as she brushed past that said, well if you don't know I can't help you. She was infuriating! I wouldn't give to be able to walk away right then, but I really did need the help and I wasn't in any position to become choosy now. If she wasn't going to tell me why at least I could make sure I got what I needed. Deep breath in, slow breath out. I did my best to relax the fists my hands had made and followed her inside.

Prompt: Random Promopt - He clenched his fist
Spoiler:
He clenched his fist and fell to the floor. Despair, angry, hated all rolled over him like ocean waves, each pushing deeper and deeper into his core. An agonized cry escaped from his blistered and cracked lips. The chains connecting his wrists clanged on the ground and he began to rock back and forth. The fire of rage and the emptiness of hopelessness wared in his eyes, in his soul. His insides feeling they were tearing apart, torn between what was and what should have been. Ripped apart by the pulsing emotions he no longer had control of.

Prompt: One Word Prompt - MUSIC
Spoiler:
Music has been on my mind a lot recently, and so this is less of a drabble and more of a ramble. Music is one of the few truly good and inspiring things about life to me. It can lift you up and make you feel happy, it can be a balm to a broken heart, it can give you an outlet for the hurt and anger inside. Music and make you laugh, make you scream, make you cry. It is an experience, a memory trigger, simple and complex. It doesn't take much to make music, but it can be hard to make it good, meaningful, but there is something for everyone, every mood, out there and more being added all the time. Be it be brought to you in voice, in instruments: percussion, wood, wind, brass, string. Music comes from the soul.

Prompt: Dialog Prompt - "I've been waiting a long time."
Spoiler:
"I've been waiting a long time." She sits back slowly in the chair, her eyes flicking over the gentleman kneeling before her. "Rise, there is no need for you to stay there on the floor." She patted the chair beside her and watched him approach the chair with an intensity that would wilt lesser men. She noted the way he rose, steadily, smoothly, and strolled over to the chair. Not in a hurry, but not as though he was worried to approach her either, just steady and calm. She had known about him, of course, for a long time. Had waited, not always so patiently for this day, and now she would get what she wanted.

Prompt: Dialog Prompt - "You're in love with her."
Spoiler:
"You're in love with." It wasn't a question, more of an actuation. As if the very thought, he could be in love was absurd. Her lilted laugh drove its way into his ear seemingly piercing his brain. "Oh, that is simply delicious." It took every bit of his strength to not try and strangle that ton right out of her, but he knew he was also no match. He wouldn't even make it two steps, but his gaze dug into her with all he could muster and watched as she slowly glided out of the chair she had been sitting on and approached him, one had slowly brushed his cheek as she continued past him. "And what does she think of what you are?"

Prompt: One Word Prompt - REGRET
Spoiler:
The looking back,
The wishing for what was
What could have been
What should have been

Missed steps,
Missed opportunities.
Forgotten changes,
Lost memories.

Regret,
A life looked back upon,
with seeing only those wishes
those missed things,
forgotten color.

Prompt: Random Prompt - Tick tock, tick tock
Spoiler:
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
The sound of the clock echo through the empty ballroom.
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
Her heart felt like it beat in time to the clock's never-ending chant.
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock
Feet undone from shoes, quiet stocking feet stepping to the rhythm of the night.

Prompt: Picture Prompt
Spoiler:

Spoiler:
Who would have thought that a fountain could ever catch on fire? The fire spread all around the fountain, somehow the water never putting it out. This must be a magic fire, one that was not threatened by water, but would simply smoke and simmer. Another reason to believe it was magic fire, the red smoke cloud that billowed from the fire. No, this could not be a regular fire.

Prompt: Dialog Prompt - "I thought you were dead."
Spoiler:
"I thought you were dead" she basically spat out.
"Sorry to disappoint" he sneered back at her. "Not only am I alive but I'm here for what you took from me."
Her eyes narrowed into a glare, she would be having words later with her informant. Mad as she was, she wasn't about to take her chances against that pistol he had pointed at her. Her eyes never leaving his she slowly reached over and grab a non-descript box sitting on a shelf nearby. She slid it across the counter at him, and he simply picked it up and slipped it into his jacket.

Prompt: Random Prompt - It was different
Spoiler:
It was different, although so much remained the same. The sun still rose and shown high above in the sky. Fluffy clouds dotted the blue sky, leaves fluttered lightly in the warm breeze, and people passed by laughing and talking to each other. But, it was different, his world was very different. Two hours ago he heard the birds singing their songs, he had a lightness around him, the sun warmed his skin. Two hours ago everything had been as it was, it had been as it should have been. Two hours ago, he didn't expect it to be different.

Prompt: Dialog Prompt - "Was that supposed to hurt."
Spoiler:
"Was that supposed to hurt?" She asked, a smile teasing at her lips.
"Only if you wanted it to" came the husky reply.
They sat on the rug in the den facing one another each holding their "weapon" of choice. The intent wasn't to cause damange, or to truly hurt each other, but to push the limits, each other....see who dared to go just that little bit further, use their item a little bit differently. They had played this game for years off and on, all through high school and college. No one had ever seriously gotten hurt, although they had certainly left marks before. That's why there were certaily rules to the game now.

Prompt: Photo Prompt

Spoiler:
"So what did the x-ray show?" He asked his wife. "Was there a break in her hand?"
She slowly shook her head no. "If there is a break it's so small it wouldn't be causing the issues she is having. They couldn't see any issue, even micro-fractures."
He thought for a moment and then asked what they were to do next. If the hand wasn't broken what was causing the pain and the strange way in which it moved?
"We are supposed to take her to a new specialist in a couple of days, I already set up the appointment" she explained. Hopefully, this one will have an idea she hoped.

Prompt: One Word Prompt - RADIO
Spoiler:
The radio blared out an ad for a local restaurant while he drove down the road. When another ad began he quickly started scanning for a new station. Settling on the local rock station he kept his eyes open for his destination. He knew he was getting close and slowed slightly, making sure there was no one behind him. Finally, he spotted the sign he was looking for and pulled into a space in the parking lot. Letting the song that was playing finish before turning off the car he glanced into the back seat and was met with a cold dog nose.
