Hello everyone! I found this very new challenge on Mod The Sims, you can find the rules here. I'm always looking for a new challenge and it took me ages to set up, I know it's poorly written but here goes nothing!

This was a fun read. I'm having a bit of trouble wrapping my head around the challenge, as a whole, and how the debt works, but it's fun to read!

My favorite part:
Spoiler:
Jacob: Do you have no heart?! Jade just lost her sister! Give her time to mourn!

I have 3. I will dispose of the bodies appropiately.

The way I'm doing it is you assume they all start at $0, then whatever the cost of the barracks is taken off so let's say $60,000 as an example so thats a household funds of -$60,000. I use Family Funds to take that amount off them, or "payments" of a certain amount off them weekly until the full amount has been settled back to 0 or in the positives again.

When the sim moves out, the debt that remains in their household is divided by the number of sims living inthe barracks. So let;s say none of it has been paid off and 6 sims live in the barracks. So that sim moves out with household funds of -$10,000 and the remaining 5 sims have a debt of -$50,000. You then build their house for $30,000 so they have a household debt of -$40,000. They must make payments every week of few sims days to pay off that amount and once it reaches 0. The debt has been cleared.

If a sim is moving out of their parents house, and that house has debt. It is once again divided by the number of sims living there as before with the barracks. If the sims parents don't have any debt then any cash they have laying about you can give to the child to help build their house. The more you take from the parents the less debt they build up from building their house.

I have a terrible way of explaining things but I hope it clears something up. x
