Congrats on finishing week 5! That's a milestone to celebrate! :party2:
Spoiler:
Go Aunt Tiffany! She's really doing well with everything she does, isn't she? The snapdragons alone are impressive in such a short time. I bet there'll be some use for those.

Oh and the community garden looks very pretty! Looks like the Mesa Vistans like it too.

Uh oh, that night out gambling doesn't seem to have been the best of ideas... But there's a new business coming up, and it needs snapdragons. :hmm: Curious to see what's up with this mysterious Agatha in week 6!
Great update, moving right along! :applause:

Urban Creep Update - Nitty Gritty version:

To start off Week 6, new arrival Agatha Crystalbotham swindled earned over ยง2,000,000 with her Crystal Card Club, and used her winnings to purchase the Public Toilet in St Hubert (cuz charging desperate Sims is how Agatha rolls) plus an additional 48 community lots for her new development called Crystal Vista, as well as funding bogus online, bet the suckers don't read the fine print Crystal University. Ooh! Shiny!

Image
(Note Tiffany Zarubin's bag o'cash and the snapdragons Agatha coerced from her at the end of Week 5)

Playable Sims: 102 (+1 added Agatha)
Sim Multiplier: 55 (+10 for 50 community lots +5 for new Uni)
Population: 5610 (+1570)

I now have 12 potential business districts, and 6 near-Tycoons coming up in the rotation, so expect more nice bumps in population.

Wow, that's some quick development! Agatha is clearly an efficient woman with her shady business. Will some unfortunate Mesa Vistans be attending the bogus online university? Anyway, good progress, well done! :)

Good timing, I just happened to be online on time for a new update. :)
Spoiler:
And it sure was an eventful one! :O

Congrats on the next Business Tycoon! That makes for a satisfying jump in the population.

But oh no, poor poor Diane and poor Stephan too! :sigh: Accidents keep things fresh on their part I suppose, but ow that stings. :ouch I think the smashed urn may result in an angry ghost. I don't think I've ever seen it, so I'm curious to see how it turns out. It's a good thing you managed to stop Devon from sweeping the smashed urn away!

And then another fire. Poor poor Stephan. At least there were no more casualties.

Adrienne has a fun look, and the apartment complex you built is looking good! Looking forward to seeing what she gets up to, and what Stephan has in mind for next week!

Thanks for the nice comment, Katri!
Spoiler:
I had such mixed feelings when Diane died. She's always been one of my favorites, but I'm kind of glad for a little bit of tragedy due to it being realistic. I think because my characters are so ingrained in my head, I'm now looking at Mesa Vista more from the town aspect, and less on the individual households.

Every Tycoon is really gratifying at this point, and I have a few more expected in this round :celebration:

At the rate I'm going it'll be quite a while before we find out what, if anything, happens with a smashed urn.

Thanks again!
Two updates! (Both are brief):

Week 6-3 - Pederson

Week 6-4 - Kerrigan

Spoiler:
Yay - Crysthalbotham's here, ready to ruin the next business... :diablo:
From meeting to marriage to baby in four pictures - that was fast ... :sly: :smirk:
Phoebe is cute! And Mesa Vista is growing, yay!

Adrienne and Lavender make a dream team together! I'd totally ship them, but I ship Lavender and Gavin too... uhm, menage a trois? :duck:

:woot: :spin: :spin: :spin:

Good to see some Mesa Vista again!
Spoiler:
Pederson:

Meadow was probably wise to reject Agatha there, though she might have something else up her sleeve...

Truly a whirlwind romance, in unmistakable sims style! :) Little Phoebe is a cutie.

Phil is a sneaky one - good for him!

Kerrigan:

Adrienne's candle shop looks cute. One more for the score!

All that effort to try and have Lavender as a roommate, and three seconds later she has the hots for Gavin? Typical. Well, maybe the "two roommates for the price of one" arrangement might work.
This was fun! :)

Spoiler:
Looks like the Goodies are doing well!

Heh, sims are pretty good at selling stuff to others that have absolutely no use for that stuff. I remember I had a toystore once, and the clients were mostly parents of teenagers. :P

Annika seems to be growing up well. All the girls are very pretty in their own ways, it's fun how different they all look.

And a baby on the way? Wow, the Goodies are about to be quite busy!
Another fun update! :)

I just have to say, it's not every day that I can read a BaCC from start to finish ^^
Spoiler:
With all that drama in the early chapters, Mesa Vista really does seem like a quintessential small town. I've enjoyed getting to know all the different families and watching them grow.

I'm glad Kerie has made a name for herself despite her one-night stand with Zach.

Diane's death was sad and totally unexpected, but at the same time an interesting way of exploring the avenue of a family's grief.

And I love the architecture of all the lots, makes me want to visit Southwest US.

Hi, and thank you all for the comments!

Peachy and Katri: Glad you liked the Goodies!

Calamity Jade:
Spoiler:
That's a lot of BaCC reading, thank you so much for taking the time! I love my Mesa Vista families, wish I could keep it up but can't. I'm so glad I initially set my families up with the stories, it really makes playing them more fun and meaningful, like visiting old friends. I like Kerie's storyline a lot, especially making a rare (in my game) three-bolt couple not work at.all.

I appreciate a desert setting more and more, and although I live in a high desert, it's not the same as a southwest desert, so the architecture and design have been interesting for me too.

I am at peace with Diane's unexpected demise. She's always been one of my favorites, and her death adds depth to her character, her family's story, and the town.

Thank you again!

P. S. I'm back to reading Destrudo. You did so good! I'm up to Chapter 23. I'll leave you a comment later, but I noticed you had problems selling cars even with the platform display thingies. My Wing family ran out of funds playing theirs. I sold one or two vehicles, but not for enough to cover the cost of restocking them, so I don't understand it. Anyhoo, I had originally thought it was because I didn't use the display things, but I guess that wasn't it. Wholesale discount the priority, perhaps?

Hooray, more Mesa Vista! ^^
Spoiler:
Wow, that's a lot of traffic in one week in this household! I'm looking forward to seeing the heirloom challenge, that's a new one to me.

Hmm, I'm pretty sure Sandy is an AL townie, one of the social groups from there. Maybe they have EP careers too?

Grant seems a sweetie. The aquarium gift might not be very practical, but it's cute.

Oh, and congrats on the newest Business Tycoon, that's a nice boost to population again! :applause:

peachy123uk - Thanks for reading!

Katri:
I looked up AL townies on the Wiki and they can be in Seasons careers. Good to know for an Apocalypse. I so want to lift Law in my undocumented one.

Oops, I seem to have missed an update! :duck:
Spoiler:
Wow, surviving the winter in the snow must have been quite some challenge! I'm glad they made it though!

Chrysann is very cute! It's funny how they grow up so fast, although I suppose another pair of adult hands is quite useful.

Hooray for a baby on the way! ^^ Also, very nice progress on the house! The goal looks very pretty, and seems like getting there is fun.

Hi Katri, thanks for the comment! The Planter/Harvest Moon household is one of my favorites :)

Hooray, an update! ^^
Spoiler:
Wow, it looks like the week was quite a rough one! I imagine I might have despaired quite badly. But this family are truly troopers! Looking at little Will's skills in the end, it looks like he has a real shot at those scholarships.
Great work once again, and awesome to have an update again! :applause:
