The Legacy of the Lost, *Update 24-July-2020*

by Faye Silver
The Legacy of the Lost is going to be a legacy that features a sim that has been languishing because I've never been happy with how I've told her story but that is going to change now. I'm getting back into telling stories using sims and what better way to keep up the practice than to use her. TLotL is going to follow the guidelines of a legacy in that it will follow the rules, but it's not just going to be a rinse and repeat of marriage, birth, death. It's going to have a deeper story that'll be explored through the generations following the founder.

I'm taking a bit of inspiration in that way from the Pseudolegacy.

The story will start on July 1st with Simnano!

Gen 1: Manon Bishop

Prologue
Chapter 1.1
Chapter 1.2

Love me some good old fashioned plot, so I'll be following this!

Spoiler:
This is such an interesting way to start a legacy. Giving a little backstory on the spouse, so their partner knows more.

Poor Manon has been through so much loss and tragedy in her young life.

Ooo going up against the Goddess of Chaos herself. This should be interesting.

I love how you have a magical explanation behind the corruption and the new start to the legacy.

I'm a sucker for couples that fall in love in every universe.

I can't wait to see more of this story!

Spoiler:
Loving the premise so far!

Eris seems like a fun, corrupt villainess. She reminds me of the goddess Eris from Dreamwork's Sinbad movie.

It looks like Alec and Manon are tied by a "red string of fate" so to speak. I can just tell that they're going to go through many trials and tribulations until they get peace.

Spoiler:
What an interesting start. It's sad but sweet and will be interesting to see what you do with it. Excited to keep going.

I do love me some fantasy and supernatural themes, so I'll be keeping a close tab on this story. So excited to see Alec and Manon start their life together in college. ^^

I loved the Pseudolegacy, and I like what you've got so far.

I can't wait to see more.

108,
Spoiler:
It's been awhile since I've revisited their story, but I honestly couldn't imagine them apart from each other now. And it's funny they always end up with either 2 or 3 bolts, despite not having matching signs or aspirations.

Jade,
Spoiler:
I guess Manon and Alec do! I never considered that actually! And yeah, I'm gonna have fun with Eris. She might make another appearance soon. Depends on what cards my sims want to throw me.

Cindy,
Spoiler:
I'm happy to be back with these two sims, and with their family. I've always fallen in love with their kids. I'm keeping a close eye on my game so that they don't end up with a failed story.

Nooboo,
Spoiler:
They've always had some great chemistry and it's no different in this world.

Captain,
Spoiler:
I'm drawing a bit of inspiration from the Psuedolegacy, but there won't be many similarities, I don't think.

Update!

Chapter 1.1 is live, finally! After many false starts.

Spoiler:
I really think it's interesting how you're handling talking to your sims and making it part of the story. I like the fact that Knowledge sims can just here the voice.

Poor Manon has been through so much, but she really seems to have quite a positive outlook on life.

Awe I'm happy Manon and Alec found each other. :)

I can't wait to find out what the Wise Man has to say to Manon.

Ooohh, this is so exciting! I hope Manon finds the Wise Man soon, but I also hope she makes time to relax. She's on vacation, after all. :)

108,
Spoiler:
I'm glad you're enjoying it! I always thought that Knowledge sims would be a bit more perceptive to hear their players' voices and just choose not to acknowledge them. It would seem to come with the territory at least. She's got such an even temper that it's hard for things to get her down. Now if her track record with kids holds up, I know I'll be seeing little balls of rage soon, since in every iteration she's had, she always ended up having at least one kid with no nice points.

Yeah, they found each other really easy since I may have forgotten to actually take away their relationship from YACAS. :duh:

Yeah, his 'words of wisdom' probably went right over her head to be honest, It was made purposely vague.

Thanks for the comment!

Nooboo,
Spoiler:
I mean she did get some pretty good relaxation on, a nice massage, playing some games, and learning to teleport from a cool ninja, which she now uses to get everywhere, which is pretty fun.

I really need to play with the Bon Voyage EP more, I didn't realize how many cool and fun things you could do on vacation with your Sims! Also I don't know if it's just me, but when I clicked the link for Chapter 1.2 it says your blog no longer exists. :?

Spoiler:
This is really good. I love how chill Ethan is about the legacy and multiverse thing. He really does show up in just about every legacy, doesn't he?
Frustration with vague prophecy and advice always gets a laugh from me. I'm pretty sure I'd react about the same way.

Spoiler:
Manon is completely relatable. Having a bunch of questions and then momentarily forgetting them when she actually sees the Wise Man. Hopefully his tale helped Manon see there is hope for her future.

:nono: Things are never that easy Manon. The voice won't tell you what it all means!

Living on an empty lot for the Greek House is just preparing her for her future after university.

I love that Manon has unlocked her magical powers now!

Manon accomplished a lot at uni. Can't wait to see what life has in store for her and Alec next. :)

I've tried both Chapter 1.2 links, but it's still not working for me. It still takes me to phantomssimstories. :?
