This is the legacy of Willem II, Prince of Orange. Once a stadtholder (steward) of The Netherlands.
As a sort of royal he lived a nice and pampered life, until he died from smallpox when he was 24 years old in 1650, so he was kind of real.
I will be following the rules of the legacy loosely, because I have a problem staying interested in my legacy with too many restrictions.
I decided to start out as a bit of a patriarchy, since Willem II is from the 17th century. Of course he lives in modern day Bridgeport; so the girls in the family do have something to say about that!
Furthermore, as a royal family, the heir should try to marry someone from the right class. This means he should marry a celebrity or a child of a celebrity.
Of course royal families used to 'keep it in the family'. Which basically meant that sometimes royals had to marry their cousins (or other close relations)...
And sometimes they didn't marry for love, but for other reasons; like politics or money or to gain more land. The Royal Family of Bridgeport is such a family.
Every generation one member of the Orange family gets to marry someone they have never met. This is not the heir, but one of their siblings...
I don't cheat for money. I don't play for points. But I do use several mods, because I think they make the game more playable and more fun.
My legacy is sort of plotty, but with a lot of commentary. Because I like to talk to my sims...

I totally forgot to say how cool it was to be featured last month! That was really nice.
I didn't update last month, but I did play a lot and I've finally reached generation 7! I'm very happy about that, because with my last (unpublished) legacies my record was generation 6.
Generation 7 is sort of a dual generation, because the new king(?) can't rule by himself...
