Mortis
Spoiler:
I wonder how many bees can fit into a sim's pocket? I still find it funny that they carry all this stuff around in their inventories.

No Zoe play with the evil pond!

Trust me, it's a complete pain to find all the ingredients for ambrosia on your own, especially the death flower with how Seasons messed with gardening. I really wish I would have thought about using the wishing well with my OWBC spouse. It would have saved a lot of time.

And she's back!
Rudolf
Spoiler:
Camille is very ~fashionable~.

Sims are such weirdos. An actual ghost is just part of a normal day for them I guess.

Jeff and Alec are always so loud. I'd hate to be their neighbor.

Freckles! I think freckles are so cute.

I've had unflirty sims freak out over witnessing a hug before, so who knows what he saw that was soooo scandalous.

Mortis:
I think you can collect them once, and then aren't able to collect more until you use the bees you currently have in your pocket, but I could be wrong. I'll have to test it out!

So I've just finished playing rotation 9 in my game and oh man, that pond...

Ugh yes, gardening has worked okay for me so far - particularly in Liv's case, where all the plants are indoors so they grow year round, but finding the plants you need out in the wild is a real pain in the ass!

For now! ;)

Rudolf:
She's learned from the best.

Their apartment building is slowly emptying out, mostly because I keep coming up with new plans for everyone, but soon Jeff and Alec are going to be the only ones left, and then they can make as much noisye as they desire.

Yesss, I love giving sims freckles.

Very true, for all I know, Felix might have just seen Jeff and Alec making ~very intense~ eye contact in the hallways. Flirting is not okay, unless he's the one doing it, I guess.

Spoiler:
That pond is evil! I stopped getting for my sims because I figured they’d be dumb and try to swim in it and die. Keeping the plants indoors seems to be the best way to go otherwise they’re a complete pain to deal with.

Talbot: I think I missed commenting on their first rotation, but this household is one of my favorites just because of how ridiculous and hilarious the sims are. That moodlet definitely looks like a hang glider to me too, so I don’t know what that’s supposed to mean. Poor Scott. He’s a good boy, just not the brightest boy. I love that Eugene is making conspiracy theory videos! :rotfl: That vendor is totally photobombing Eugene and Carlotta’s selfie. Mars is definitely Scott’s dog. Eugene is the real unflirty sim!

Winchester: All these imaginary kids are so mean. It seems like all the pop ups EA made for Parenthood involve bullying and kids being outright jerks. I’ve had kids invite other kids out to nightclubs before, which I find kind of funny. I usually let them skip because I’m a bad sim watcher. Give Jeff and Alec a baby! That kiss lining up with the bar, good thing the kids didn’t see it. I love the bunker, and the new family portrait with the twins is super cute!

Spoiler:
It really is! I should honestly just get rid of it, but I like keeping it around for the ~aesthetic~ since we don't really have the option to build our own ponds. :P And yeah, indoors is definitely they way to go, along with the good soil lot trait. Especially for rotational play.

Scott is so ridiculous it's kind of endearing. I'm glad I'm not the only who one thinks that icon looks like a hang glider, then?? EA please explain. Mars is truly the perfect pet companion for Scott; it's funny how those two could have been very similar to Jeff and Rocket, but became their own characters just by being dumb garbage boys. And yes, he is!! Felix is down right romantic when you compare him to Eugene.

Yeah, what gives with all these rude bullying scenarios? They need more of the 'what's up chuck' scenarios where it's like, you do an embarrassing thing like throw up or call your teacher mom, because that's what my school days were like. Maybe I just lucked out with most kids being nice and leaving me alone, though. I would let them skip class more often, except Alec is usually home during the day and I've been trying to work on his aspiration stuff, so leaving to go to a community lot would take that time away from him. Believe me, I want to give them another baby, I just know I'll end up with too many new households if I do.

And thank you! For both the comments about the family picture/bunker, and just for leaving this nice lengthy comment for me to respond to. <3

Spoiler:
I really wish we could build our own ponds like in TS2. I guess you could always cheat and get that pond that's in the parks, but that's kind of giant.

Thanks for sharing your story. I always have fun reading your updates. :heartbeat:

Onto the Olsens!

Yay for cute dates! Luna's winter wear is also really cute.

Closets always see a lot of action. The aliens must really love that household.

I'm going to go with Ariel coming out as gay as well. I'm going to have to try that lot trait just so my sims can have rainbows floating over them.

Will looks more in love with his food than Luna.

Will and Luna are super cute though! I didn't realize the autonomous woohoo also applied to teens. I knew they could woohoo, but I guess those two just didn't want to wait. A rocket ship is of course the best place for your first time. Definitely memorable.

I think parents can also talk to teens about woohoo, but maybe I'm wrong. I just remember using one of those interactions, and everyone involved looked super uncomfortable. Andy knows what's up. Luna's not sneaking anything past her.

I'll have to remember to fence off my rooms for parties too. That way my sims actually interact with each other.

Spoiler:
Right, I forgot that there was the pond object for the parks! I'm guessing that's probably in the debug buy catalogue somewhere; I was able to pick it up once when I was doing a little redecorating on one of the parks...

:heartbeat: It's fun for me to read back through my early updates now that the gang's all married with kids, and I'm glad they're enjoyable for other people, too!

It was so nice watching them get together, it felt a lot more natural than some of the more forced relationships I ended up with (like Isobel and Caleb, haha). I've got a few break ups planned for future rotations, but those two are definitely going to be an endgame couple. And yes, haha, very memorable.

Yes, they can! I had Felix try that out and it was just as awkward as you said, haha. Thanks for the tip. ;)

That, and just locking them out of the house entirely if you want an outdoor/pool party haha. Thank boolprop for those public bathrooms that are just ouside the apartments.

Spoiler:
I think the cheat is bb.showhiddenobjects on, if I remember right. I used it for a generic lot recently. Still a build your own pond tool would be nice.
When I force couples together I end up kind of hating them in the long run. They’re definitely not as fun to play, that’s for sure. I did a few times in my legacy, and I always wondered if anyone reading could tell. :shhh:
Thank you for all the party tips! I’m hoping those will help make mine less of a hassle from now on.

The pizza reminds of the gross squares of pizza the gave us in school.

Poor Caleb. It’s sad and funny at the same time that no one cares. Of course grim would be a Carlotta fan! So I only know this because I was bored at work one day and decided to read the simwiki page on the grim reaper, but his traits and aspiration are random. I only know my grim has the romantic trait.

Jasper probably somehow convinced Lilith to do the project for him because he was “so sad” his dad died.

Now you’ll have to deal with Caleb’s antics until the end of time. He would be completely naked. :duh:

I think Carlotta is my favorite. She’s just hilariously evil. Also I love that you can fight Father Winter.

It’s Carlotta. They’d probably be too scared to tell her the video wasn’t what they wanted.

I definitely ship it.

Spoiler:
I always have to google the cheat codes while I'm in game because I inevitably forget them (or spell something wrong). A build your own pond tool would be amazing; we did get terrain tools somewhat recently, so there's always a chance we could get ponds in the future? Especially now that we have swimable water with Island Living!

To be fair, it was a brand new sim that they had barely met, so it's not exactly surprising that none of them really took much notice, haha. And that's really cool! I figured he would always have the same set of traits, and the ones he had in my game seemed very fitting, so it's neat that he could have some interesting traits in other saves (like imagine a sqeuamish grim reaper, haha.)

Haha, "Auntie Lilith, please, my dad who has been dead for almost my entire life has just died again, can you do my homework for me? Also make it really good."

Uhhhhh funny story, something out of my control happened to Caleb in my game again, so he's kind of a human (well, vampire) NPC again... He can be naked all he wants now, at least?

I very rarely play evil sims, so playing Carlotta can be really fun sometimes. And that makes so much sense about the video, haha. She could probably just send them an email consisting of nothing but the word 'no' and they'd pay her in full anyways.

That's good to hear, because I've been playing ahead and they're really cute together. ;)

Spoiler:
I pretty much always have to google them too, except for the free real estate cheat because I like moving my sims into nice houses right away. I love that Grim has random traits. He was actually placed in a random house in one of my early saves. I wish I would have played him! I wish we could swim in all the worlds, but I’ll take what I can get. Hopefully getting pond building tools doesn’t take as long as the terrain tools! Of course something would go wrong with Caleb again.

It’s a Christmas Winter Fest special! It’s not a vacation until someone sets themselves on fire.

I can just imagine Camille asking for a bedtime story andnfelix hissing at her.

At least the kids can’t die in the pond! (Or well I don’t think they can)

I feel like Carlotta wants to work her way into every update.

That’s so cool Father Winter actually goes up the chimney! I hadn’t seen that animation before.

I hate the bear phase so much!

The vacation was so fun to see!

Spoiler:
I really want a shirt or something with all the cheat codes listed on it so I can just look down instead of having to google them every time, haha. Then again, I usually have several tabs open during my gameplay because I usually run into some sort of bug that I have to troubleshoot.

Being able to swim in all the worlds would be really nice. Brindleton Bay has a cute little beach area, and being able to swim in Granite Falls would make it feel even more like a vacation destination; every cottage trip I've ever taken has always involved a little dip in the lake!

Caleb's such a little problem child that whenever I start a new save, I always keep an eye on him because I'm sure he'll wind up getting himself into trouble somehow.

Setting yourself on fire is how you ensure that you have the jolliest of holidays, of course.

I sure hope the kids can't drown in the ponds, haha. Might have to keep an eye on Kunal when he gets back home...

I can't see any other reason why she'd want to turn up to a little backwoods bar in the middle of nowhere.

Thank you! <3

Spoiler:
I would definitely invest in a shirt that had all the cheat codes on it! I think adding swimming to Granite Falls would just add to the overall vacation experience. Usually when I’ve been camping like that, there’s swimming involved. Being able to actually use the water in Brindleton Bay would be nice. I guess EA doesn’t think like that. I feel bad for Caleb, but I don’t blame you for trying to avoid his ridiculous antics in other saves.

Wow it took them forever to get flirty with each other. Scott and Eugene are a stubborn couple. A kiss
In a graveyard, how romantic. :rip: A child wandering around at night in a graveyard all alone is rather creepy, even though I know Cas is a sweetie.

Love the new house! Scott needs to learn how to co tell himself.

Maybe Persephone can have fun with all the aliens and settle down. The possibilities are endless.

Eugene is a wreck! :haha: #relatable

Maybe in Scott’s tiny mind that was a large pile of snow.

A Carlotta sighting right at the end!

Spoiler:
I'm not as good at graphic design as I am at illustration, but if I ever design to design myself a little cheat code shirt I'll be sure to share it here on the forum, haha.

I wish Granite Falls had a few more lot spaces; I could have added a pool or something that was disguised to look a little more natural (kind of like the ruins in Windenburg), but I don;t want to sacrifice any more cabins to add another community lot. In the meantime, I've settled on adding one of the waterslides from Backyard Stuff to my cabins.

Right? The most stubborn couple, second only to Isobel and Caleb, because I had to actually make her enchant him in order to get him to reciprocate, haha.

Lol it would have been extra creepy if Polly had been there with him; would have given off some Shining, 'come play with us' vibes.

Scott needs to be potty trained, man.

She's got a lot of career goals to work on right now, so I'll let her focus on those for a bit, and then see what happens with her love life.

In Scott's tiny mind I'm sure it was an insurmountable pile of snow, haha.

Yes! She's very good at sneaking herself into other sims' updates. ;)

Rocket's not scared. He's just making sure Alec's not scared and protecting him.

I can't believe Jeff and Alec are adults already!

Cas and Polly grew up cute!

I'm always super jealous of your decorating skills. They're just awesome :hearts:

Switching out the lots is smart! Maybe a little too much effort for me, though. I might consider doing different versions of the national park, because the skating rink does look a little out of place during the warmer months...

Of course, he's the most loyal dog for a reason. The shaking and whining are just to scare off any enemies, obviously. ;)

Elders soon, too! :( I've reached the point in my game where the kids are starting to grow up, and I need to ship all the OG neighbours off to a little retirement community so the kids can have their own households. I'm probably going to end up moving these two in particular to another save to play them a bit more, because I love them too much. <3

Thank you! :heartbeat:

She's very good at creeping up in updates where she has no business being. ;)

Spoiler:
I have a really hard time dealing with my sims dying. I just get so attached to them! It is always nice to know you have that option to play them in another save if you want to.

Yeah I really wish they had like an actual serious trait, just like I wish they had a shy trait. Sometimes snob or loner isn't exactly what you're going for.

I love all the sci-fi type stuff that Strangerville added.

Luna and Will continue to be cute! :) Ariel and Polly could be an interesting paring.

Alec and Jeff are just being protective! That or they're just really bored and want to see what they're kids are getting up to.

Caleb probably has better luck scaring off monsters being a ghost? Though I think they should probably be more afraid of Carlotta.

I've had trouble getting the ask permission to feed to work even with full relationships. Poor Cas and Jasper being so embarrassed!

Cas and Jasper are a lot more interesting version of Romeo and Juliette.

Sneaking in (late) as I've been catching up!
Spoiler:
Literally everyone is so cute! And every single lot looks amazing, too, I love seeing the makeovers you're giving to community lots. The entire winter rotation was so pretty to look at!

Random thoughts from the last rotation:
I loved the Olsen's rainbow decorations, and the 'fencing off doors' tip for parties is definitely one I'll use in the future! Also, Will and Luna are one of the cutest teen couples ever. I also loved that the Grim Reaper asked for Carlotta's autograph, and Caleb was hilarious the whole time. I also didn't realise sims could fight Father Winter, so that's fun! The Mortis/Rudolf Winterfest vacation looked like so much fun, what a cute idea! The alien townies you made are so pretty - I also had no idea aliens had a secret greeting! Also, love that Jeff and Alec are protective parents

Basically, I had a great time reading through your updates - and seeing your gameplay always makes me eager to open up my own game! :)
As always, looking forward to more! :)

I know what you mean! I think the pets are going to be the hardest to say goodbye to; I've already given Rocket several age down treats, and I'm not sure that I'll be able to let him pass away... he might just have to be immortal. :P

Yes, an actual shy trait would also be nice! I like the loner trait for Alec because he's not really shy, he just prefers to keep to himself/his family, but like it you said it doesn't always fit what you're trying to go for.

I just wish it had added a bit more stuff for aliens, haha.

Polly and Ariel are kind of just together out of convenience at the moment. ;) I may or may not have other plans for them...

Jeff and Alec really need a new hobby. It is entertaining seeing them pop up whenever their kids are out on a date though, lol.

Monsters should definitely be more afraid of Carlotta, although I guess it really depends on what Caleb's wearing. YMMV on whether or not he's actually scary when he's wearing nothing but a pair of lacy underwear. ;)

I haven't had too much trouble with it yet! I find that if the relationship score starts to drop, that's usually when they'll reject it. Bringing it back up to a full bar seems to help, although I've definitely had sims accept it while just barely being friends.

Cas and Jasper would be my favourite couple this rotation if it weren't for Will and Luna, the pastel power couple. They're a close second for sure, though.

Haha, I'm impressed you were able to catch up so quickly! I've updated quite a bit this summer. I should really do a summary at some point; I feel like starting a new 'story' with almost 10 rotations of 5-7 updates must be daunting for anyone.
Spoiler:
Locking the doors also works if your sims are in smaller apartment, but once you move out into a house with a giant staircase, being able to fence it off really helps.

Will and Luna are my lil pastel power couple and I love them, they're one of the closest instances I've had of sims picking out their own partners in 4.

Carlotta's entire reaper encounter really sums up the absurdity of the game at times, and I love it. Bonus: when they fight Father Winter I noticed the visual effects from the fight change to a red/green colour scheme!

It really was such a treat to play, I think I'll have to do a similar rotation down the road when the kids start moving out on their own.

Some of the little alien details can be very easy to overlook, considered they're buried amongst the regular socials. Especially if you only play one or two aliens at a time, and don't load your saves up with them like I do. I have a bonus save with these aliens where I made them a secret underground bunker in StrangerVille, and since they're such cuties I'm definitely going to hook one or two of them up with some Paraneighbours. ;)

Jeff and Alec's protective parenting has led to one of the most delightful sim dates I've ever witnessed in the next rotation, and I'm super stoked to post it, haha.

Thank you! <3 I'm glad they're inspiring, and not a total chore to read through! Similarly, the scenery pictures you include with your Culpepper pals has really made me stop and appreciate the view more in my game. ;)
Two new updates for rotation 9 - the Mortis family and the Rudolf family!
