This challenge was based off the Through The Ages Challenge by erica180 (which was in turn based off history challenge and not so berry challenge), but I made some pretty major changes to it, therefore I changed the name of the challenge. It's now called the "Exploring History" challenge - and this playthrough is intended to both be fun for me, and a test of the rules. It is a 30 generation challenge, taking you and your sims from the Stone Age to the possible future of the world, the apocalypse, and even the aftermath of said apocalypse. I have published a Main Page of the rules that lists the stuff you need to know about all generations, as well as information to start the challenge. It also lists the generations, that will be linked in groups of five. The First Five Generations are linked already, but are obviously still being tested, so they are subject to change while I test things out. This challenge is meant to be a fun way to learn about history, not a rules-and-restriction heavy challenge, so I don't actually restrict the items you can use - but use your head. If they didn't have something back then, maybe your sims shouldn't have it, either.
After all that's been said, let's get to the good stuff. Here's my first chapter, starting with the introduction of my two founders, and then a list of just the generation 1 rules.. and then I get into the playtime. Which is the fun part. I will be posting more of my playthrough of this challenge throughout SimNaNo - and obviously, beyond. Enjoy!
