I really love all your supernaturals! Plantsims are super hard to take care of in an asylum, but they can be fun. It’s probably for the best you didn’t include vampires since they aren’t the brightest in sims 2. It’s like you have to keep a constant eye on them, so they don’t run out into the sun (silly vampires!). Oooo and you have your first couple too. It’ll be interesting to see if they last. Good luck to your simself for surviving the asylum!

Thanks Allison! :) I kind of messed up with the plantsims, I somehow forgot that they need sunlamps. Oh well, we'll see if we can manage. As for vampires, that was a no from the start. Since I can't order them to go to their coffins, I imagine they would have just fried on the sidewalk the first day. Oh yeah, ACR did that for me. Apparently both my zombies randomized straight Popularity sims, so that probably explains why they got together. So far they're quite tight, managed to fall in love the first day too. Thanks, I'm sure luck will be much needed!

Thank you both for reading and commenting! :donut:

Your Simself has quite the task ahead of her. :spin:
I love the look of your inmates, no wonder everyone's heartfarting eachother!

Hi Autumn!

Oh yes, there's quite a lot of work for her to do. I'm curious to see if she can manage it with the other inmates and the ghosts especially.

Heh, thanks. :) They're actually just template faces, I'll admit I felt a bit lazy and wanted to get started with the challenge.

Thanks for reading and commenting! :donut:

In other news, I have Day 2 posted for you!

I guess most of them probably wouldn't need sleep, not that, that ever stops sims from doing something!

The one toilet, one tub/shower is definitely the hardest part I think.

I really wish the fact that there are windows could help plantsims. Maybe they could look out at the sun?

Sims always find the most inconvenient places to do things, like when they were dancing in the bathroom. :haha:

For some reason Cecily just carrying around that big pot of spaghetti made me laugh. She looked like she would spill it at any moment!

I know plantsims don't need sleep, zombies do, and werewolves I'm not sure as I've never had one before (and now I can't look at their needs :haha: ). I've played ahead a little bit, now I'm suspecting it's a hack... Possibly Smart Beds is not letting them sleep in a bed that isn't "theirs". If that's the case, I might try to cull that one for this challenge.

The lacking bathrooms are definitely the biggest annoyance. The stove with seven uncontrollables is the most dangerous thing. Well, in this variant it could be the ghosts.

Oh yeah, it'd be nice if windows were helpful for plantsims. I should have remembered the sunlamps... Oh well, at least it seems that lack of sunlight isn't lethal, they just get knocked out for the night. Which might be a good thing too, as they haven't been scared by any ghosts so far.

Sims are the masters of finding bad places to do things. Especially they're great at doing everything from dancing to childbirth in the bathroom, and the smaller the better! :rotfl:

Heh, I suppose werewolf and zombie residents are lucky as food in TS2 is apparently glued to the plates and pots. If it wasn't, a lot of food would have ended up on the floor.

Thanks for reading! :cookie:

I've never seen gardening in an asylum challenge! I think the stress of keeping sims AND plants alive would be too much for me. Thankfully your inmates seem to have themselves handled. (Mostly.)

Hmm, I wonder if I came up with something novel. :hmm: It seems so far the other inmates seem to be pretty good at taking care of themselves *knocks on wood*, so so far so good. I'm not going to worry too much about the plants, if they die we'll compost them. But if I'm lucky, we might get eggplants at some point. We'll see if that works out.

Thanks again for reading and commenting! :pie:

Yes the plantsims need to stock up on that sunlight! Hopefully you don't have anyone going after the same partner. That could be troubling.

See I feel like the supernatural part of being a Knowledge sim would be the part that would fit me. I'd love if all those things were real! Though I feel that seeing a ghost would be scary enough, let alone one specifically targeting me.

Hopefully Sim!Katri is able to find a job in Architecture soon.

It seems my plantsims have been doing a little better since Gabriel and Bernadette got together. She keeps him company outside (where he either wakes up or rushes for sunshine), and as Felix is buddies with Gabriel, he tends to be drawn there too.

So far I only have the two couples and otherwise there's been no romance. I suspect that there's not much chemistry between the rest of them, and I think Annie randomized lesbian, so she's pretty much out of luck in the otherwise straight household.

To think of it, if there were TS2-style friendly vampires and werewolves, it would be pretty cool. I mean, if they just said "bleh bleh" to me I think I could handle it. But otherwise, I'd find them pretty scary. I like books and learning is fun, but I'll pass on seeing ghosts and getting hit by lightnings, thank you very much! :D

I hope so too! Otherwise we've been doing pretty well, but the right career is a pain to get with only the newspaper.

Thanks again for reading and commenting! ^^

Oh yes, plenty of ghosts! :ghost: I've played ahead a couple of days, and there'll be plenty of hauntings. It's a bit scary with all the uncontrollables, but quite interesting too. Thanks again for reading and commenting! :donut:

After a few busy real life days, it's time for Day 4 of the asylum! I hope you enjoy! :)

At least they're sleeping now! Your sims must be pretty tired.

Pajamas are always more comfortable. :D

Your poor simself is having really rough luck with getting her aspiration completed.

It looks like things are starting to take a toll on the other asylum members.

Oh yeah. I'm not actually sure how they managed to go on for several days with no one passing out from fatigue. I wonder if that's one of my hacks too. :hmm: I have so many I can't really keep track of everything.

Indeed, pajamas are good. Can't blame my sims for preferring them!

The aspiration is proving to be quite difficult, with only three random jobs a day. If this goes on, I may have to make an allowance for a computer (for job-seeking purposes only) at some point. No one wants to read 100 days of "still no Architecture position", and most impostantly, I don't want to write it. :haha:

The time locked up is starting to show, at least for some sims. Some have been able to gain some aspiration points from making friends and so, but others haven't been so lucky.

Thanks for reading and commenting! :pie:

Your game does not like the Architect career!

Good thing no one was sprayed by the skunk.

I haven’t seen a pink ghost before. Which death is that?

I’m surprised Gabrielle managed to stay up without passing out! He must have gotten enough sunlight.

I’m really hoping you find a position in the Architect career soon!
