The Irresistible GilsCarbos, 2.3: Flight Rising (2/14)

Hey. I'm Bec, normally a Sims 2 blogger who's having a tumultuous and torrid affair with The Sims 3. From that affair comes, aptly, this illegitimate child of a legacy. I'm so sorry mom.
Anyways, this is The Irresistible GilsCarbos, a legacy founded by the face and regular moral capacity of The Sims 2's hottest single, Goopy GilsCarbo. Every heir has to had the Irresistible trait, as what Goopy would want, and everyone will be named after characters and people that I think are that special brand of irresistible. Let's see how long I can get into this while keeping people look like their gorgeous founder.

Mayor Goopy! Breaking up with his boss!
I like Gillian, she's definitely a child of Goopy!
Hyde is so dramatic I love all the kids, they're all quite interesting!

Hooray, a new Sims 3 legacy! Just caught up with your chapters, and here are some thoughts:

Any legacy that features Goopy, a Judith Butler joke, and someone travelling to a stranger's house explicitly to play with dogs is amazing in my book. The kids are adorable, and I think Gillian will be a perfect heiress. I also really liked all of the animal humour - poor cranky deer, just constantly being accosted by legacy kids.
I'm looking forward to seeing more!

I was actually also surprised to see a deer...I'm sorta rediscovering this game as I play. And thank you! I like the kids too.

Yay for Goopy! I've just read the prologue, and I must say that I like the premise you've set up for future generations. Since there is too much funny to comment on, I'll just leave you for now with the following statements.

Seriously though, I love Goopy, just how you're portraying him alone is amazing. You've definitely done the romancer justice, even though I'd have expected him to fail more. Carmen is an absolute treasure and it sounds like she's a blast to play.
The kids! They're all definitely unique and I'm little sad that Oscar didn't grow into the ugly so he could stick around, but damn if he didn't do well for himself! Gillian and Jenelle are really cute together too!

I'd forgotten how glitchy TS3 can be - those puppies are terrifying! I hope the crash didn't do too much damage

I love that you brought Goopy into the Sims 3! He was always one of my favorite characters in Sims 2. You did an excellent job of recreating him, and your legacy is a fun read!

The crash really only took out her growing up, luckily. You learn to save like a fiend with this game. I still can't actually tell if I like The Sims 3 or not.

I thought of playing it cool, but I gotta say, I geeked out super hard when I saw you replied. You were the first...no, wait...the SECOND legacy challenge I ever read when I was first playing The Sims 2! (The first was The Flamingo Legacy, which I can't find ANYWHERE...lost to time, I suppose.) Thanks for the nice words!

I found out about time babies from an ISBI, and I think it's an awesome little feature! I'm pretty sure babies in the future come out as elders? I think? Anyway, I love Louise. I definitely think she should be in the running for heiress, she's a descendent of Gillian afterall.
I loved Goopy turning his limo around to get home!
I can never keep track of who all the dogs are but they're all pretty cute!
I'm looking forward to seeing the baby, and whatever else the GilsCarbos have planned!

Goopy for President! I'm totally in. Love the term scenery porn, do you have that copyrighted? Could I steal it? LOL. I read Game Changer with Celebration playing the whole time. It seemed fitting but now that song is stuck in my head. And I love Goopy's Tattoos!
I just got my sims 2 game up and running again. The first townie I SimPE'd was Goopy. Shows you he really is one of my favorites! Loving your legacy because I am a Goopy girl.
