Finally got
Joshua Hunter's new week posted for
New Youngdale.
I've been offline for, like, a month and a half. Sorry about that, y'all. My how time flies. I spent a few days doing nothing but Sims. As in The Sims. As in The Original Series. It took days to get it to work, because of stupid Windows 10, and having to search the internet for a new .exe file to replace the one that came with the game, because it HAS to skip the CD check, because Windows 10 is SO STUPID, and having to find new links because the old, obvious links, were to sites that had been taken down, because it's been two whole years since they were posted. But I did it! ME! Non-tech-savvy, hopped up on pain pills me! I'm sure my nephew could have fixed it in about five minutes, but after three days, I finally managed it! HAHAHA!
Man, I forgot how challenging it was to have a single sim in that game. Friendship deterioration is BRUTAL! And even with a windmill and a scarecrow, I still had gophers and rabbits. I finally decided to pave my vegetable garden, and live off grapes and elderberries , which CAN be stocked in the pantry, produce two or three times a day, and the rodents don't even care about them. Of course, that meant I could not sell my produce for a profit, but when you consider how little profit you got, plus the $50 cab fare, it wasn't that much, anyway. Plus so much time. Gardening is fun in The Sims, but it is NOT a money-maker. Nectar-making, on the other hand... WHOOOOT! $500 per batch of nectar, which only takes about 30 minutes to press, and only costs $8 for the sugar, and the hole to Magic Town is free. That's at level 10 cooking, of course, but you want level 10 cooking, anyway, in order to get the most spell charges on your wand (mechanical skill for charm charges).
Anyway, I've climbed out of that rabbit hole long enough to post this week. Yay!
But, if anyone needs to know how to get The Sims Complete Collection (Sorry, I only have the file for The Sims Complete Collection, none of the others), I can give you the instructions and .exe file you need. Because the more times it gets posted online, the more chances someone else has to find it, without it being lost to internet infinity.
Actually, any ideas where I could post it here?
If I want to make a Sims 1 story (I haven't made a story, yet, but I'm thinking of coming up with Sims 1 Apocalypse rules, of course), where would I post that, here?
