My sims 2 disc won't run I can get to the launcher click I and the computer makes noise and cd icon comes up on the screen but nothing else happens. Anybody have any ideas.

have you tried deleting your cache files?

theres a detailed way on what to delete. I had the same issue last week and deleting those files helped.

nope that didn't help. I downloaded some stuff tried to turn back on didn't work so took the downloaded stuff back out still didn't work. Thanks for the help though.

Not sure but can you bypass the launcher all together and get it to work? Someone talks about how to do that in this thread:

The other half has been at for a couple of hours. He will see if he can get to work later when everybody gone to bed. I will show him the link Ciyrose to see if it helps it has done this before but we can't remember how he fixed it. Thanks for the help.
