In the interest of tidying up our forums, we'd like to propose a way of condensing the index page.

What would happen is that the "Sims 2 Central," "Sims 3 Central," and "Sims 4 Central" categories would be consolidated into one. It would look kind of like this...

Sims Central

Sims Chat

• Sims 3 Chat
• Sims 4 Chat

Expansion Packs

• Sims 2 Expansion Packs
• Sims 3 Expansion Packs
• Sims 4 Expansion Packs

Photo Sharing

• Sims 4 Photo Sharing

• Sims 4 Help

In addition to making the forums a little neater, this setup will allow for:

-The long-awaited General Sims Chat Section! For Sims chat not related to a specific Sims game!
-A general Help! section! For Help not related to a specific Sims game!

We wanted to come at you guys with these changes before we went ahead, just in case it's the worst idea since email spam.

And we would love your feedback!!

They sound really nice. Might make the front page a little less overwhelming for some as well!

I will making the changes to the forum structure as noted in the first post of this thread Saturday morning (US Central time). I will post in Chat when I begin and it shouldn't take very long.

I am starting on the changes now. I should be done within 30 minutes.

Structural changes have been completed.
All of the forums still exist as they were before, they are simply grouped at the top level to reduce the length of the index page.
