[hr] 1. As the first paragraph states, you must upload & share ten pieces of original content, for any of the following sims games: TS2, TS3, TS4.

2. You must link to your creations on this forum. You are free to use any filesharing/hosting site you wish, or cross-post your creations to livejournal/tumblr/etc., but you must also share your creations in the appropriate section in order to qualify for the medal.

3. If you are using somebody else's content as a base for your own, please credit them! This applies to both meshes and textures. As for lots, where listing every piece of content used is basically impossible, a general list of creators you frequently use would be thoughtful.

4. Quality over quantity. I'm not going to be judging your level of skill when it comes to creating content, but I'd like to see a little effort being put in to what you make! As long as it looks you spent more than five minutes on your creation, I'll be happy to award you a medal.

[hr] What creations count towards the medal?

• Sims (or pets!)
• A recolour, retexture, of an existing mesh (object, clothing, hair, etc.)
• A new mesh (object, clothing, hair, etc.)
• Bodyshop or CAS content (make-up, skins, eyes, etc.)
• Default replacements
• A posebox
• Game mods/hacks
• Lots (residential, community, vacation, etc.)

You are welcome to earn the medal by creating things for a mix of categories, or just one, if that's all you're comfortable doing. You are also free to create content for more than one game. If you're unsure if something you've made qualifies, shoot me a PM!


Do multiple recolours of mesh count as multiple downloads?

The simple answer is no: recolouring a mesh multiple times, and sharing those recolours as a set will only count as one download. If you make a recolour of a mesh, and a week later, decide to make another set of recolours for that mesh, then it would be acceptable to count it as two separate downloads.

For now, I'm going to say yes, they will count as multiple downloads the same way uploading 6 lots would. If there's a sudden influx of people uploading 10 sims at once to claim a medal, however, I might reconsider.

I assume that your born in-game sims shouldn't count as a sim creation (nor simselves)?

Also, do recategorizers count as creations? On MTS they're under Config Mods.

Yep, re-categorizers would count as a mod! I will count simselves as a sim creation; it takes effort to capture a likeness. Born-in game sims do not count.

Someone told me that my Simself looks kinda like me... does that count? :$
What about medals for posting our Wonder Child as a Young Adult, like some kind of a creation?

I decided in an earlier post that born-in game sims do not count towards the medal, as they aren't really a creation, they're generated by the game.

What about patterns created using CAP? I've done a few of those way back when I was playing TS3...

Hmm, I think those could count! I'm not entirely sure how they work, but I'm going to say uploading multiple patterns at once will be counted like multiple recolours of a mesh; 10 patterns will not count as 10 separate creations, but 1.
