DOOM. An Alphabetocalypse: 3. Auspicious Actions, 2/17

WELCOME TO DOOM.
DOOM is an alphabetacy that will contain three apocalypse challenges.
Having finished an apocalypse years ago, I thought I'd be ready for another or three. Care to watch as that assumption is proven pathetically false? Read DOOM!
The naming scheme will be things generally related to doom in general, so expect to see lots of names of demons from cultures real and imaginary.
There is no connection between this and the eponymous video game series, I've never played it. :P
I'm not quite sure how to tell this story, so I'll probably be jumping between storytelling mechanisms. I'm just here to have fun :P

Notes on rules and such (SPOILERS, especially towards the bottom):
Spoiler:
You can find the complete apocalypse ruleset here. The original rules for the Apocalypse challenge were written by Pinstar and they have been updated for expansions by a host of people, particularly Boolprop's apocalypse community back in the day, the Apoca-Borg.
The rules for alphabetacies can be found in TS2 Rulesets here on Boolprop; the only change I'm making is that instead of downgrading every 5 generations, I'm... doing an extreme downgrade every 8 generations. ;) But a notable rule here is the 3 kids/generation minimum!

Because I've already done an apocalypse to do an apocalypse, I'm allowing myself to bend the rules as I want. I'll keep a record of all rules broken, accidentally or intentionally here (spoilers):
-Hopelessness: I'm allowing myself to move pets in before hopelessness is lifted. I broke this rule without meaning to, and when I realized, I decided to just ignore it. Ignoring it led to more misery than benefit, anyway. :P
-I'm ignoring the rule on locking wants and all of the restrictions on Aspiration rewards. Tbh they're just too much to keep track of.
-Music: I think I had outdoor objects which weren't placed under ceilings in chapter 2, breaking the music restriction. This was fixed within a week anyway, as I filled in the ceiling above the new floor.
-Intelligence: I haven't really been paying attention to "Sims who are not friends with a member of the household may not enter the house." My policy on that: WHATEVER Since remembering this rule I've been making a loose effort to keep non-friends out, but I haven't been kicking out non-friends that make it in or anything.
-Natural Science: I'm ignoring "The family house must be on a dirt or desert landscape." because the concept is nice but the execution looks silly (what, u gonna make your whole neighborhood dirt, which remains ugly forever after you've lifted NS? or make it dirt just on your lot, which is then obviously surrounded by endless grass? no thank u).
-Law Enforcement: I accidentally let Tish go to work as an elder. I had her quit as soon as I realized.

^^^THAT SAID, besides the exceptions, I am running STRICT apocalypses!!! Absolutely no cheats or anything like that!

Random facts and stuff:

Restrictions lifted:
1. Paranormal - Deanna Doom (Founder)
2. Service Pet - Tucker
3. Medical - Tish Doom (Founder's Spouse)

Sims and pets who died/were taken/given away without lifting anything:
Pets: Ocelot, Jasper, Skyler, Pinky
Gen A: Antichrist, Agrat
Without further ado,

APOCALYPSE 1
0. Prologue: Deanna Doom
1. Abhorrent Affairs
2. Alone Again
3. Auspicious Actions

Spoiler:
I can't believe anyone would willingly put themselves through an Alphabetocalypse........ but I respect you.
My take away from the prologue is that Deanna Doom would be a bangin drag name.

@ Thai: You're right  My drag name is Gore May, I feel like her and Deanna Doom could be best Judy's.

Chapter 3! This is quickly becoming more and more just about gameplay, but honestly that's all I have the energy for in the apocalypse. That's one reason I think this alphabetocalypse will be fun, because when I'm less stressed about keeping them alive and promotion-worthy, I'll be able to tell stories about them. I have lots of time to do whatever I want to with this legacy, regardless. Also, is it clear I'm more dedicated to alliteration in the titles than I am to having the titles mean anything? That said, I'm scared for gen. X.

Thanks for reading, everyone!

It's been so long since I've played an Apocalypse. I don't even remember my first restriction lift. I do think I did read Apocalypton though, my memory is not what it used to be. :fisty: Anyway, so quick with these I was just finishing 2 and 3 was already up.

Haha Ani-Mei, my first lift choice was heavily inspired by your recommendations a few years ago :P . With the ghost massacres that happened in my first apoc... I figured you had the right way of thinking haha. Also, :shifty: the quick updates may or may not be due to me absolutely binging this family right now :shifty:

I saw this title and squeeed! Another alphabetocalypse! Oh, you have a different definition. THREE apocalypses? AWESOME!

You are a simmer after my own heart! I LOVE this. I just binge-read prologue through chapter 3. (I have to note what I read, because if I get side-tracked for months at a time, which totally happens a lot, I'll know where to pick up again).

I love your way with words. Alliteration always awesomes. That's a verb, right?

"mysterious government vaguency" Love it.

Oh, one thing. I think you made a mistake with having the xylophone for the kids, before Artist (or Music with a living Rock God) was lifted. Add it to the list, I suppose.
I don't fault you for having the list, btw. I mean, you're doing 27 generations under apocalyptic restrictions. You can be a little wiggly in your room.

I look forward to reading more! Nothing I like better than watching sims suffer.
Badass Alphabetocalypse (Complete!)
All of my other projects should be moved to the graveyard. But I have a new computer, at last! WOOOOT!
