'Get Famous' Newbie here...

I'm really struggling with one of my sims getting famous. One of them nearly got one stars, then all of a sudden it went back to zero again! Is it possible for their fame to 'decrease' over time?

Yes it is. If you dont keep at it, it will eventually decrease. I do believe though that if its high enough, the level won't decrease below the 3 star level. I dont remeber the threshold though

I can't seem to get past one star. Is there a trick to this?

Simstagram helps maintain your contact with the public, but you have to be constantly doing thing to build fame. It decays pretty fast so the motto is fame is fleeting. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Will the fame decrease whilst playing another household? Has anyone tested this? I think that might be what it is, as I'm playing on rotation...

While your Sims stay the same fame level when you rotate play, it has been noted by other simmers that when they load up the house hold the next time they immediately have to do fame interaction otherwise theyre SIM "fades from the spotlight" and they lose a star
