So I've started a Sims 4 challenge of my own devising (sort of).
I was looking through the Sims 4 in-game achievements and there are some pretty interesting ones. I thought maybe instead of imposing the rigid structure of a legacy or other challenges with all their rules and restrictions about who can move in, who can move out, where they can live, what traits they can have, etc, I would 'let loose' with simply starting a game file in which I shall aim to complete all of the achievements.
Apart from a rule about no overpowering cheats, I'm playing this super relaxed. The game is set to age only the active household so it should eventually develop into a loose rotation-style file, but for now I'm just starting with one household. I may add new households later.
I'm just slowly slowly getting used to sharing/uploading game stuff, so please be gentle.
Book 1: Arthur and Amberley
1: A is for Achievement
2: B is for Baby
3: C is for Cute
4: D is for Discord
5: E is for Easy Breezy Childhood
6: F is for Fangirls
7: G is for Glamping
8: H is for ... okay, I've Officially Run Out of Cute Alphabetical Chapter Names
9: Soulmates and Social Butterflies
10: Birthdays and Beginnings
Book 2: Benjamin and Bethany
11: Benjamin's Holiday
12: Bethany Achievement, MD
13: Benjamin's Baby

I was definitely over the thunderstorms. The whole freaking the kids out was a bit too true to life.Teresa wrote:So cute. Thunderstorms are a pain with the toddlers.
Two more updates! 5: E is for Easy Breezy Childhood and 6: F is for Fangirls.
(And hopefully a third if I can keep my eyes open long enough).

You are doing so good with everyone. I was going to say the kids but even the adults are doing good.

Got the last one up for tonight! I'm all caught up with where I am in game now, finally. Means I'll need to find an opportunity to play before I can update again.

This was fun to read! I've thought about doing something similar, but every time I start making headway something messes up and I have to move my family to a new save file to fix a bunch of glitches.

Very sweet family! The kids are super cute and they're all so accomplished! By the way, I'm pretty sure teens are immune to emotional deaths post-Parenthood. I'm interested to see your list of achievements and how you plan to get others. It's a fun, relaxed story and I'm enjoying it!

It is nice to just play the game without restrictions. I do get tempted by other more challenging challenges though. Thanks for commenting!SarahSims wrote:I have on many occasions thought about doing a similar challenge, love that you're going with a laid back style! I'll be keeping up!

Looks like generation two is having a good time!
My problem with rotational play is that I want all of them to have kids. Often at least two. But that quickly becomes unmanageable!

I'm definitely going to run into that problem soon, trust me! I'm thinking I might still play some but leave them out of the story, but I plan to just work it out as I go along. (In other words, the plan is I don't have a plan. ).Rozemarjin wrote:Looks like generation two is having a good time!
