Love the idea of the founder as a goddess who's given up godhood! Definitely better than the more common trope of founders being forced into it by her creator. Of course, It's Good to Be the Queen, so I'm sure that has something to do with it.
Love the royal family, with the heir who's quiet and seems rather uncertain. It'll be interesting to see how she does once she's queen.
Imelda's definitely a trip. Good thing she got to move in first, when there was a quick path to the nobility. Like many other commentors, I do feel sorry for Shannath, though. It's going to be very interesting if she ends up wanting to marry Darion.
