Kids Won't Show Up to Daycare
I'm having an issue where the kids won't show up to the daycare. When looking at the job tab, it says my sim is on the clock but no kids ever arrive. I've tried resetting the town, clearing my caches, and restarting the game. Have you guys had any experience with this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

It could be that the neighborhood you're in doesn't have enough kids/toddlers to supply - it usually doesn't make them, but grabs them from the town. I'd place down a few families with toddlers and see if that helps.
I've also seen people say quitting and rejoining the career may fix it, but that has mixed results. I would first add some toddlers/children to the town, if there's no luck there then try quitting and re-joining. If there's no luck THERE, then ensure you've got aging enabled and no cheats enabled (like static needs would interfere with it) - also ensure freewill is on, that might help.
Also someone said they had luck when they bought more toys, then exited the save and reloaded in.

I have. What I did for it, is create some toddlers and children. Made them in CAS and created them. Have you tried going into to edit town and looking to see if there are any toddlers or children?
Another reason might be the location of your house. Is it close to other houses? Or is it on an island? Or is it a house boat? Day care profession hates houseboats. If the sims have to go on a boat to get to you, they're not going to show up. Day care is really finicky like that, where parents have to bring their kids via a car.

Do what you love and the happiness follows.
The reasons you want to stay can blind you to the realisation you don't love it anymore.

Thank you guys so much! I did add in a few toddlers before noticing that they were coming but the people kept getting stuck and not going to do the houseboat. That was the issue! I'm not sure why I played in Isla Paradiso with how many glitches it has, but I did. I'm going to go try out Sunlit Tides in a normal house as I ran into that issue and my save file was slowly dying as people started disappearing. Weirdest Isla Paradiso file yet. Thank you guys again.Nevermore wrote:I have. What I did for it, is create some toddlers and children. Made them in CAS and created them. Re: Kids Won't Show Up to Daycare
I've had this happen to me, twice actually. Once in a legacy, and moving lots fixed it & she was able to max it after that. Once in the baby boom challenge. There were definitely tots in town and I didn't want to fuss with moving lots, so I just had her quit. Her husband picked it up later (same lot & everything) and he's done fine with it. Mostly, anyway. A couple times no parent has come to pick up a child, but I just "resetsim" them home safely after giving ample time to make sure that it isn't something like they're staying late.
Current Stories:
Completed:
Clock's Tickin' Dude: Bachelorette challenge (finished Feb 2019)
Multiplying Murdles: BabyBoom challenge (finished Nov 2018)

Ooh, I'll keep this in mind! I doubt this is the last of the bugs with the daycare profession so thanks for the tips!snazzle wrote:I've had this happen to me, twice actually.
