I am gearing up to start this challenge and had a question ...
For the lot traits, can you only have the one specified for that gen or can you use 3 lot traits as long as one trait is the required one?

You can use three lot traits, so long as one of them is the required one. Have fun!

I just did the second option you mentioned. I made sure the required lot trait was there and filled the other two with random stuff.

Speaking of, my next kids have just turned teen. I have not decided who will take over yet. Right now, the push from toddler to teen was exhausting. With the final goals all family related, I'm probably going to slack off and let them be teens.

As soon as this is done, I'll make a post for the updates.

Okay, so ... I have been playing this and I'm pretty sure I will fail

I made a male sim and he has been abducted countless times ... I mean once every 2 or 3 days he's being taken but he is not getting pregnant!
He has had his mature adult birthday and still nothing I really am not sure what to do about it.

Thinking on it, I've never had an alien pregnancy before in this game ... ever I am going to keep powering through it and see what happens but right now I am pretty much playing on fast forward just waiting for him to be abducted and then crossing my fingers for a pregnancy. My husband actually sat and watched me last night for about an hour because he was fascinated/entertained by the fact that I was so mad my male wasn't pregnant I yelled at my game a lot last night

It took Prince (spoiler) a few times before he got pregnant too. All the times before they would return him, he landed on his feet. The one time he got pregnant he returned on his backside. Coincidence?

Holy crap. My FEMALE has gotten abducted 3 times and got pregnant 3 times. I had to use MCCC to cancel them out since I didn't want anymore babies. I'm tempted to use MCCC to prevent abductions at this point. My generation 3 person has moved back to Brindleton Bay, married a human and their first child is human. They are having more children because I would hate to try and complete Super Parent with only one kid.

Okay so I figured out my problem MCCC was set to no alien pregnancies!
I have reset all the occult settings to default and that fixed it.

Why, oh why didn't I think to check that sooner!

I am tempted to start over with a fresh save because damn this was a nightmare and I missed most of his life since I fast forwarded through it plus because I did that there are not many photos ... yes, yes I am starting over.
Okay, I am going to restart this weekend and hopefully have my first post out too.

I would start over personally, but that's just because I work my toddler and kids to death and the chance of the main sim dying too soon would bug the crap out of me.

I posted up my challenge. My last sim is almost to full adult, if only he'd stop having babies! They are up to four now.

I LOVE this. I think I may have to use this in one of my neighborhoods. Maybe one of Gage's sons could do it, or possibly I could have it in Youngdale (If I EVER get the SimsPE thing to do what I want it to dooooooo! Of course, if would help if I didn't give up and ignore it for weeks at a time, but still... Where was I? Oh, yeah!)

So, I love this, and I love the Sims 2 and 3 versions, as well, and now I want to add it to my ever-growing list of sims projects, because I am clearly insane.

I do like that it's short.

I hope you'll post the chapters for your "play through" soon, because so far, I only got to read two chapters, and it makes me saaaad. On the plus side, it made me log into Sims 4, and it was good timing, because THERE IS A SALE ON!!!!! Halloween stuff, mostly. Seasons, vampires and Halloween stuff pack. So. Now I have to completely ignore ALL my other projects to deal with that new stuff, and I probably will forget all about this challenge because I don't have Back to Work, but someday it will go on sale, or I'll get back to Sims 2 or 3, and anyway, I think this is just lovely.

So I deleted my save file of this because I hadn't played it in so long and felt lost when I fired it up.

I am starting this over tonight and will hopefully start blogging it in the next few days.

You can do it! You know you want to. *enabling* I have started so many challenges, and there is another I've found that I want to try now too. Its been a long while since I've played Sims like I use to. Crazy few months.
