Welp, failed again. Couldn't get the skills and high motives to get promoted, although I lucked out and got another hobby promotion to level 9 (this time it was bingo). My only chance was the Restaurateur chance card that has a slight chance of a promotion to celebrity chef, but it didn't come up. Oh well, back to the drawing board!

EDIT: Discovered playing Kickybag warm Sims up, so they can stay outside a lot longer without freezing.

Moving my Borg AC updates here. (MODS, I'm going to follow the tradition in this thread and double-post as needed unless you say nay.)

Last night I revisited my OLD undocumented Borg Apocalypse household founded by Stella Terrano, and stayed long enough for Jan Tellerman (Gen 3), who lifted Medical and is married to Oscar the heir, to give birth to twins: a girl (Luna) and a boy (Crypto). Jan is 13 days away from becoming an elder (Pet Service is lifted, so not too concerning), so a second pregnancy for her would be icing instead of a near-necessity. Oscar is at Level 8 in Journalism, but I might switch him to my pet peeves Gamer or Law if either comes up in the job listings just lifted Journalism

Edit to add: Jan is pregnant again, and the twins just aged to toddlers.

O.M.G. Stella and Rodney just scared their grandson Oscar to death in the living room. It was Monday, everyone had the day off and the twins had a snow day from school. Rodney (starvation ghost) scared him twice and Stella (platinum old age ghost) finished him off while he served burgers for the family just after midnight. They were brutal. Guess some of Gen 4 will be going to Uni to try to lift Paranormal. That was not part of my current plan.

EDIT 4/11/2024: Crisis averted. I discovered the ghosts could/would not ascend the stairs to the 3rd level where everyone sleeps, which are closed off by a gate locked against strays. Not sure if it was the gate or the upper level that kept the ghosts at bay. The twins Luna and Crypto managed to make it to University each with 10 Body and 2 additional scholarships, leaving behind their mother Jan and younger sister Mira, who aged to teen, until Jan had to move out before she became the 4th ghost. Mira held down the fort until the following Tuesday in preparation for her siblings' return. After the twins graduated Magna Cum Laud (both with 3.9 GPAs plus several new friends from downtown), they immediately used the computer to find jobs in Paranormal (Luna lifted in 2 days) and Gamer (Crypto lifted in 4). Crypto married Marylena Hamilton, a Sous Chef (Level 7) who is working on her first promotion. The graves are in Luna's inventory, and we'll see what Mira ends up lifting. She wants to be a Criminal Mastermind, but Athletic is more urgent, and I still *really* want to get Law out of the way.

Marylena lifted Culinary after almost 2 weeks (lots of days off in the upper levels) and is now pregnant for the first time.

Crypto switched careers to Medical after lifting Gamer and got his LTW to be Chief of Staff. He'll become an elder soon, and he's close to adopting Bailey the stray cat (if she shows up again) to lift the final pet restriction, Security.

Mira lifted Athletic pretty handily, so the house is less cramped, and with these latest lifts life is much easier for everyone now. The biggest remaining annoyance is the Politics 8x8 limitation, so Law, Politics and Architecture are next on my wishlifts.

Luna will take the graves and bonephone when she moves out and into the Kings Hide safehouse. She can resurrect her dad Oscar once Adventure is lifted. Still pissed at Stella and Rodney for killing their grandson, so they can stay dead.
