Bonjour, Boolpropians!
Today's newsletter is brought to you by caffeine.
Caffeine, the vessel through which you sell your soul in exchange for the ability to do work.
What? You don't? Lucky you! Trade with me, please? I would like to know what it is to not be incessantly dependent on something I had to sell my soul to. So onto the news portion of our newsletter. Some newly new news that is new for your newstack is the upcoming Golden Plumbob Awards! Those super-secretive mods are trying to keep this newly-new-news hidden, but I'm revealing it for all to see! What do you mean I'm one of those mods? Heresy, I say!
I swear to plumbob I've not slept soundly in over a week have mercy it's finals time
On a serious note, we'll be bringing back the Golden Plumbobs in the relative future (of the next few months) so thanks for hanging out patiently with us. Nomination forms should be opening up soon, and because I'm a super-savvy tech lover, we'll be testing out a new form to use as an alternative to the old nomination form (with the old form still available for those who would prefer it). I hope everyone is reading and taking notes on their favorite stories, I know I am!

May is a time for change, flowers, and other beautiful things. For those who are in school, it's also a time for finals which makes my head feel like a potato... so in that honor I'd like to spotlight the I'm Surrounded By Idiots challenge-doers! The 'I'm Surrounded By Idiots' challenge (shortened to ISBI Challenge) is a rather intense, long-running gamefile where players will only control ONE sim per household until a 'torch-holder' comes of age to take that one sim's place. As my head is currently a potato, me explaining the rules would be rather unwise, so instead have the rulesets as follows:
The Sims 2 Rules | The Sims 3 Rules | The Sims 4 Rules
Those who complete one will receive this fancy medal:
Come one, come all! Give this challenge your best shot and maybe you, too, will be surrounded by idiots! Otherwise, feel free to stop by our forums to show some ISBI love to our brave combatants!

The Miskin Legacy - a Sims 4 Legacy by bookloverblue
About the story:
Born into nobility, Myron has always lived in the shadow of his older brother, Lord Mostyn. When Mostyn passes away, it makes Myron realise that life is short... and unlike his sibling, he has no legacy to leave behind.
Desperate to escape the gloom, Myron decides to make a new life for himself, and build a legacy that will be passed from generation to generation. As the decades pass, he and his descendants - working in various professions such as art, comedy and many more - will experience love, loss, victory and tragedy... as well as extra-terrestrial encounters, vampires, and experiences on both sides of the law.
From the Author:
I'm just coming to the end of the tenth generation, and it's been one heck of a ride! What began as a relaxed laissez-faire project quickly evolved into one of my deepest works, with some of the longest, most complex narratives I've ever written! (As such, it takes a while to get going properly, so stick with it through the early gens, please!)
Rather than having one over-arching story, I decided to approach the legacy by having ten little stories all centred around one family - one story each generation, with some crossover. I aimed to create colourful, interesting characters all throughout the Miskin family tree, and I hope this comes across!
It truly is an honour to receive this award! I would like to give a sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported me all through this project, and especially those who give me feedback, which I treasure as a writer. To any new readers, I welcome you, and I hope you enjoy my work.
