Geography Test

Post by Chase »

So if you've seen stuff like this, it is likely apparent to you that people from outside of a region can be very bad at mapping the region :P We're here to prove this wrong, right.....?

Well no worries if you're no geography genius. This is all supposed to be fun so it's okay if you can't name a single US state/Canadian province/European country ( :popeye: ). There's no penalty for mistaking Spain for Germany, Hawaii for Alaska, or even labelling Russia as the Soviet Union. So DON'T USE GOOGLE to figure out what you don't know, just make whatever kind of educated guess you're able to.

So what's going on? I'm going to post some blank maps here, and you will try to fill it out to the best of your ability. You can print it out and do it by hand or do it on your computer, your choice! Here they are:
Spoiler:

Canada

USA

Europe (countries)

There's people from all over the world on Boolprop, so if you want to suggest your country/region for this, please do!!

Here's mine:
Spoiler:
Canada and maybe England are the only fun ones for me, I know my US states and I was #1 in my state for European Countries on Quizup for a good month :shifty:

Keika beat me to the Canada. That is exactly how my handwritten version went. One of my responsibilities is updating the USA map with state tax rates. We won't discuss the states I got wrong :shifty:

Well I thought I'd give this a shot and I basically know nothing about Canada and the US apart from what Texas looks like which I learnt from Spongebob.

But I'm a bit better with Europe and the UK but my UK is still pretty bad and I'm uncertain whether some of those places are actually where I believe them to be :/

It hurts me so that my "friends" don't even bother to attempt to learn about my country and yet I know all about theirs. Yes I missed some states and put NM and Arizona in the wrong spots but come on? :hissyfit:

I can tell you Japan and Korea and Australia and New Zealand. I would probably get China and Russia (yes I know this is Europe but I forgot to label it on the Europe map :shifty:). I would get India. That would be about it.

The UK has counties, I think England itself has 48(?) and there are constituencies too but those are election things (I think)

On another note, how do you all even remember where all the states are??? Whenever I look at a map of the US I can only recognise Texas thanks to everyone's favourite yellow sponge. All those shapes confuse me and don't even get me started on canada
