pretty much what the title says: I loaded up a new neighbourhood in ts2 (I have the ultimate collection) and was able to add subhoods and place lots just fine, but as soon as I click on the family tab to actually be able to make a family or place one, the game either instantly crashes to desktop or I get music sounding like a broken record paired with an error message saying the game needs to be terminated.
I've tried taking out all mods/cc and deleting cache files, and it still is doing it.
can anyone help please?!

Re: crashing when trying to open family panel in neighbourho
Does it happen with every neighborhood or just the new one?
I haven't had this exact problem, but I had a similar problem with going into houses. My game would crash anytime I tried to go into a lot in every neighborhood. I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling the game. I did back up my downloads, saved sims, and some other folders. I pulled up older back ups of my neighborhoods. It sucked having to replay things, but it seemed to fix the issue.
