I'm going to sign up as soon as I figure out what my average word count for my updates is. ;; My goal is just going to be to play and post the next generation, basically. It's not going to seem like a vast improvement on my normal progress levels, but I'm one of those people who like hyperfixates on their interests and then my brain flits between them with little to no warning (which is why I was always so all or nothing in my TS2 days, too, I just didn't have the words to explain it then), so just being dedicated enough to commit to a goal and deliberately stick to it will be notable for me. :haha:

I chose one of my current challenges for SimNo this year. Having two multi-family challenges would be too much with a third challenge, so I'll hold off.

I've never counted words, I just wrote what I felt would fit the chapter's pictures I put in it. So I have no idea what word count I need to put in once I figure out if I'm going to do my EPIC or my DITFT for this year.

I just looked at the last few updates to see how many words I normally do, and then figured out how many words I would have if I get 10 updates.

I just signed up with The Wildes! And I've already got a decent start on the updates too! But, like Teresa, the goals are daunting lol :spin:

I just signed up. I just don't know what I will do. It will either be the Tart Gender Bend (sims 3) or my Name Game Challenge (Sims 4). I'm just hoping I can find time to play at this point.

I wasn't sure I was going to, but I decided to sign up. Now I'm nervous. I signed up with my original (well technically I had one that got lost only a couple round in, but close enough) prosperity hood and while I love doing their updates they can be tough for me to write one right after the other. I am pretty sure my goals are totally reachable for me, I just hope I keep my motivation up to keep going and don't get behind.

I am excited though. I haven't spent a lot of time in Breeze Point for a while so it will be exciting to give them a try and see if I can get a lot of updates out. My biggest worry is if I'll have the time to get that much play time in. I know I can do that much writing, so hopefully, I keep plenty of time to play. :)

I'm in, of course [emoji16] I was already trying to get at least 2 updates on the Peters this summer before I move and might not have the time, so why not do that and earn a medal here? ;)

As of now, I don't think I'll be doing SimNo this year. I'll still moderate it but I won't be participating. I haven't been in the right head space for the last three months or so to open Sims for anything, I have puttered around in it but never to do anything more than build and play for a bit then I just turn it off. I'm not going to force it out if I just don't feel it. If I was going to participate it would just be like one chapter because I was going to do my EPIC this year but then that would be it for the whole month, barely anything. I think I just need to unplug from the internet for a while, I'll lurk but not actively post anything. Maybe read a book or something.

Ani-Mei, to answer your question from earlier, I used docs.google.com to figure out my usual wordcount. It seems that wordpress doesn't have this feature, or maybe I missed it. :fisty: I copy pasted a chapter, then went to tools, then wordcount, and did that with a few of my chapters see what my usual is. Of course if you have Microsoft Word (or whatever the Mac version of that may be) you can copy paste a chapter into that and it will be even easier. I just don't have any of those programs at the moment. I believe the rules for this year say that you don't have to have a wordcount goal, and it can be a pictures only goal if that caters better to how you make your chapters.

I'm sorry you're not feeling up to Simming. :( But you're right that it's better not to force yourself. Taking a break could bring the passion back.

Wordpress has a word count - it is at the bottom of the edit window. That is how I get the word count. Unless the free version doesn't do word counts, in which case never mind me.

That's good to know, Teresa! I personally pre-write my story and then shoot the pictures myself, but I'm sure that will help others :)

I am super excited because I've gotten a good chunk of my next chapter shot that I wasn't expecting to get through yet. Now I have to make a few sets... anyone want to help build a skate park?

Hey everyone! I finished the banners so far! I'm really excited for them... here's the test banner:

These will be updated every week to... every few days (whenever I have time to) so they match your goals and fill with green! When the goals are completed, the stars will be filled in... here's Blamsart's to show you the example with goals:

I signed up with a realistic goal but I'm still going to try to beat it and see if I can finish the Russell's first generation. I have so many plans for the second!

I'd really like to participate this year, but I'm not sure if I can with the current challenge I'm playing. I'm planning on posting by the generation, but it feels like a cop-out to say I just want to get two posts done in a month(which is as much as I can realistically do with my schedule). I mean each post, based on the work I'm doing on the first generation post, is at least 200 photos and will be several thousand words. :?

200 pictures per post with several thousand words in each post I would say is not a cop out.

Pictures alone that would be about 10 or so of my updates.

Busy schedules that limit posting is one reason I believe why it moved to a personal goals instead of one set of goals fits all.
