ok what is cornhole? and I think I know what peach cobbler is I will have slice.

As for cornhole.....if it's used the same as it is in my area, it's a game of throwing things into a hole in a board. We usually play it with a beanbag, and I think that traditional, but it's possible other places do other things. Then you have two angled boards, each with a hole towards the top and you sent them up opposite each other, 2 people (or a team) grab their "color" of beanbags and toss to see if they can get the bean bag in the board opposite them. That's a really basic understanding of it. My dad did a competition at one of our town days and he and his partner got second. It's fun and requires some physical activity but not running around.

I'm all for playing some cornhole.

Aww corn hole forgot that what its called. I'm personally very terrible and only play with good friends. Which I could see be a good match here!

Hehe will be bringing frog eyed salad! Here in MN at every gathering you need at least 1 fruit/sweetened salad to go with company

It has been a long time since I've had a frog-eye salad! That one below looks very yummy indeed. To any sort of picnic or potluck my mom would usually bring a strawberry pudding cream pie, which was super yummy for the summer. I'd have to find her recipe, but I could probably make that. I would look a little bit like this picture

never had a frog eye salad ( I know us English have some funny sounding food but that sounds really weird) but that Strawberry Summer pudding looks so yummy. I will just have a slither of that.

I partly picked it because of the name but also a must in my family. Have a feeling its a name from the 50s...

Been happy to see the pudding pie is a great freezer dish... So may try to attempt it this week.

Also bringing a frisbee... Because even if you don't like playing, its fun to goof around!

Joining the picnic even though it's winter and cold here in Aus. We picnic a lot during summer - especially because, for us, the lovely sunny weather usually lasts from October until about March

For food, our dessert would be fruit, especially watermelon! It is such a brilliant picnic (and summer) fruit, especially if you've been running around playing some variation of game.

Today is my first day hitting over 90 degrees F...

Just curious anyone know how to play chess? I personally learned a bit back in high school because I kept playing sims that liked chess. Found out what was actually being depicted on screen... SIms always have me thinking it perfect for a beautiful Summer day!

Haha, it does have a fun element when you guys are enjoying summer and we are cold. But not really freezing here in Aus - we usually only get to about 7-8 degrees C (44-46 F) overnight in Sydney.

In theory, I know the rules of chess - how each player moves etc. But I never quite got the hang of the tactics and thinking so far ahead.

Sam, I'm all on board for watermelon. Love it, espeically on a hot day.

If you are playing chess for fun it not so bad, but professional players have all the moves already played out in their head or some players are least one move ahead of you.

Exactly true, peachy. I'd much rather play a less stressful game... like Monopoly

Monopoly A very peaceful game. My family had a some random versions of it, like Star Wars and Seinfeld. My favorite board game has always been Clue, though.

Is Monopoly less stressful? I have seen people get very angry when their lose or go bankrupt. I have the Friends/Simpson monopoly.

I'm like Heather, I always liked Clue. Never got much into Monopoly. It's a long game, or can be. I much prefer a lot of modern games like Ticket to Ride or 7 Wonders.

I have no Clue what Monopoly is, but why would you put frog eyes in a salad?
